So I hope that I am having a girl! I LOVE the name Brynn and am completely set on that being the name if we have a girl. If it is a boy...not sure. I must confess, though, the only boy name I really like that I have heard is Rylan. The confession? I got it from Sixteen and Pregnant. That is mortifying. Anyways. We already have a son and I am in love with his name so it would be hard to come up with another boy name! Please let me know what you think of the following middle names. Thanks![Poll]
Re: Boy names are so hard to think of...
Brynn is on my girl list as well!
I think girl when I hear the name Rylan.
But, I do agree, boy names are hard for me too. Alec is on the top my my boy name list at the moment.
Anxiously awaiting baby #1! Baby BOY Due: May 30, 2013!
Are you wanting opinions of Rylan? If so, I really really dislike it and don't think it sounds like a strong name at all.
I voted none of the above. If you have to use Brynn at least give her a somewhat feminine middle name. All the middle names you listed are trendy and some are unisex. Brynn Haley doesn't flow very well. Do you have any family names you could use ?
Brynn Caroline
Brynn Catherine
Brynn Evangeline
Brynn Adelia
Brynn Madelina
Brynn Annora
Wow, ok. Thanks for being honest though! It looks like we did agree on one name...my son's name is Ian too
I voted for Delaney but i also really like Reese.
Ive been thinking about the name Rylan too! its on my short list
Thanks for your opinion. I don't really get into the family name thing...possibly b/c there aren't a lot of family names I like and I HATE old woman names used for little girls. Just my thoughts. I definitely couldn't use my middle name...Lynn. haha!
I never thought if it sounded masculine like someone pointed out...do you think it does? I want to be sure my child has a good name...as we all do!
I never thought about Rylan sounding girly, but you definitely have a point. I looked it up and it is considered a unisex name...not that it really matters I guess.
Brynn is just ok for me, but I would personally prefer it with a more feminine middle name. I don't really care for any of the middle names you have on your list.
I am another Rylan-hater. It just sounds like a very weak name to me, especially compared to Ian which I think is a much stronger name. I know a girl with a son named Rylan and I always think she has a daughter when I see his name. (And I'm someone who likes names like Morgan, Kelly, and Taylor on boys, so I don't say that lightly.)
Any suggestions? I feel like they are pretty feminine. I love the name Alexis but it definitely doesn't flow well.
I'm getting bummed out with the name Rylan. I had no idea it would be so hated. I guess I could see how it can sound girly. I guess here is to hoping it is a girl b/c I am not thinking of anything else! The only other boy name I love it Tyler and that is my son's middle name, so obviously it is out.
Other boy ideas:
Taylor
Rhys
Ethan (perhaps too similar to Ian)
Tyson
Noah
Corbin
Eric
Brynn Sophia
Brynn Elizabeth
Brynn Alexandra
Brynn Cecilia
Brynn Noelle
Brynn Suzanne
I tried not to go too old lady for you. I think it sounds good with a longer mn.
I really like Taylor..too girly though? Ethan is good but I agree that it could be too similar to Ian. Anytime I ask DH for thoughts he comes up with horrible names. Mainly joking. He doesn't ever have opinions! Frustrating!
I agree, I think it would need a longer middle name. Our last name is two syll. so I like three. I like Olivia and Sophia but worry that they are over-used.
Good spunky? The only problem with Brynn Harper is that it makes me think of that singer...Ben Harper haha.
Good to know. I would just worry about people not knowing how the hell to pronounce it. I like it spelled Rhys though. Not sure if I will ever find a boy name that I love as much as Ian. Makes it hard...
I'm not a fan of Brynn, and personally when I hear Rylan, I think boy. It's really trendy for boys in my area, and I'm not a fan of the name. I prefer Ryan.
I voted for Delaney, but I really ought to have voted 'none of the above. They all seem so masculine/unisex as has been pointed out. I'd pair it with something longer and feminine.
Brynn Samantha
Brynn Juliette
Brynn Angelina
Brynn Miranda
Brynn Alexandra
Brynn Cassandra
Brynn Penelope
I don't like Rylan at all. I think Tyson was a great suggestion as were Taylor, Rhys, Brandon/Brendan.
I don't see Brynn as a cutesy name at all. I still hate old lady names and will never like them. I know that little girls won't be little forever, but when I hear a lot of these old names I just think of old ladies. I understand not liking Rylan but everyone is obviously entitled to their opinion! I stilll like it and do think it is a good name,. I do LOVE Graham. That was the only other one I had in mind. I like Brynn Elise but know a lot of girls named Elise right now...including ones in the family.
Agreed!
I really didn't find any of the names masculine by any means...Harper, Delaney, Haley...aren't those pretty feminine? Oh well, I appreciate the suggestions!

I would be using Brynn for a girl and Rylan for a boy.
