Vent: So uncomfortable - How about you?

I have hit the uncomfortable part of pregnancy.  When I sit at my desk it feels like my stomach is where my boobs should be and my boobs are in my throat.  I hope the baby drops soon because it feels like everything is from my belly button up to my rib cage.    And I have these insane gas pains by my left rib cage when sitting

If only I could stand all day at my desk :(  Thanfully my last day here will be next Friday.

How are you feeling?

  • Totally with you on this one. I feel like my lungs are shoved up into my collar bones which makes me gasp like I've run a marathon after 2 steps. Plus he kicks constantly and his favorite place is that bundle of nerves (that word looks misspelled....?) right above my hip bones.

Then there's spontaneous lightning crotch- I know I get the weirdest face lol. Clients ask me if I'm ok and I have to be like "oh he just kicked me and startled me..."  And breathe through it.

  • I think the baby has dropped some..which helps to decrease the pain in my ribs I've had since about week 20. But now that means extra back and hip pain. I have to spread my legs like a man so my belly can fit between so I don't have to lean back completely.

As much as I want this baby to keep "baking" for several more weeks, I can't wait until I feel like myself again!!

  • I'm having sharp pains an inch or two above my belly button, maybe a couple inches to the right.  when I push it feels like there's something hard there, which leads me to belive that someone (not pointing fingers!) is digging either her butt or her head right into that spot.  It really hurts and of course my doctor hasn't called me back, and I'm starving, but I know the second I leave my desk the doctor will call and then I'll have to wait for someome to call me back again.  I can't get comfortable in my chair either.

This! I'm glad I am not the only one that feels they have to sit like a man. It's so awkward and I know it's only going to get worse.

I have this as well.  They did an ultrasound to make sure everything was okay.  It was, so they said it was just the ligament stretching or her sitting at that spot.

I can breathe fine because the baby is so low.  However, she is cutting off circulation to my legs, so they fall asleep a lot.

This was my problem in a meeting today.  I just wanted to yell "OW!" and I had to suck it up.

I'm sick of huffing and puffing like a 500-lb circus attraction because my lungs are so squished.

I'm sick of being uncomfortable in bed.  Bed is supposed to be my happy place.

I'm sick of sausage feet and only having 2 pairs of work-appropriate shoes I can wear.  I want my heels back dammit!

    So yeah, I'm uncomfortable.

All of this!!  I also get strange looks when people walk into my office and I am pretty much reclined back in my chair with my legs wide open..........I'd like to put a sign on my desk that says, "it's comfortable and your not pregnant so shut up!"

That's my painful spot too, most likely it's a foot or a butt if your little one is head down :)

I can feel an outline at almost all times
