Babies on the Brain

Ok, honestly, was anyone else a bit disappointed in Twilight movie?

Was Edward hot? Yes

Did they follow the book pretty closely? For the most part

But for some reason I still felt kind of "meh" at the end.

Just me? ::pulls on flame retardant suit::

  • BOO!  I just went this past weekend...when are you going?
  • I went in with low expectations, so it was better than I thought it would be.  I expected it to be really terrible, but I liked it.
  • I guess I am also jumping on the Twilight bandwagon. MIL gave me the book Sunday and I havent' been able to put it down.

We'll see the movie when I'm done with the book.

  • I can't decide if I really want to see the movie.  I loved the first 3 books, but I was disappointed with the last one, so I don't know if i want to get pulled into the movie(s).  Plus I don't know anyone to go with me Confused

  • Yeah...I was honestly somehow disappointed, even though I didn't expect anything that great.  I just thought that it was lacking "something" or that there wasn't enough love story, they tried to hard to play up the other vampires.

    Exactly my thoughts.

  • Like Margarita, I went in with low expectations, but ended up really liking it. ?I went with some girlfriends and we laughed at a lot of the scenes. ?None of the characters, except Bella, were really how I imagined, but they all grew on me by the end of the movie.
  • I found myself (and the girls I went with) laughing at parts of the movie that I totally adored in the book.  And the running through the forest/jumping in the trees????  I almost peed myself laughing.

  • i said the same thing- i loved it because it was Twilight- but it was a little meh.

i blame it on the low budget though!

  • I agree t-bird on the budget.
  • Ya it was definitely lacking a lot of the love story.. but like Margarita I went in not expecting much so I did like it. I just fill in the love story part in my head, and feel bad for people who saw it that didn't read the book :-P RP is so delicious that I could never not like the movie!

  • Oh yes, very hot.  And not for nothing but I thought Emmett was smokin' too.  Probably b/c I like the muscles.

I know I loved him too.. especially in the baseball scene!

PS I totally watched it online the other night.. I had heard it was better the second time around, and it was!

Bummer.  OH well, should have figured.

  • I loved it. Honestly. I think it's because I am head over heels in love with R.P. now.
  • I think the book always spoils you.  Booksa re always better than the movies.
  • RP is my real baby daddy, but I'm just not telling DH. ;)

I just thought they didn't build up the sexual tension enough, which is what made the book so good.  That being said, I'm going to see it again this weekend and then again when my SIL reads it. lol  RP is so hot and I totally didn't appreciate him enough in Harry Potter.
