This is a question for those who have had their babies or who are 2nd time (or more) Moms. I have pre-e and my little one has been diagnosed IUGR. Therefore, this induction is 100 percent for medical reasons. My OB and MFM are talking about inducing between 37-38 weeks. For me, that is next week. I am not dilated at all as of the last time I was checked.
My question is: Anyone on here have any experience with being induced early when they weren't dilated? Did you respond to the meds and were you able to have the baby via vaginal birth or did you end up in c-section? How did the induction go? Any tips? I would like to hear about your experiences.
As an aside, my OB said that because LO was IUGR, they would not push him. I think this means that if he showed any signs at all of distress, they would take me to c-section. She put my odds at about 50/50 of having to have a c-section.

I was induced at 36 weeks 2 days due to IUGR. I was half a centimeter when I went in the night before. They did cervidil thg night and I was a one at 7 the next morning.
Pitocin and water was broken at 7 am. I got my epidural around 1 pm and was 4 centimeters. I stalled out for a while.
Fully dilated at 10 pm and starting pushing. DS was born at 11:19 pm.
The nurses were surprised that my OB didn't suggest a c section since I was stalled for so long But there were no complications at all so I don't know why she would have.
