Baby LICKING the placenta!!

Oh my gosh, I just got back from my perinatologist and I had an ultrasound. The first thing the ultrasonographer saw was that my little boy was LICKING the placenta! HAHA. I seriously was laughing out loud and the probe was bouncing on my belly haha. My silly little boy!!

Everything else is relatively good - somehow, my cervix isn't changing much although it is slowly shortening. Peri is happy with its current length. It was great, my MIL was with me and cried the whole time - can't blame her, it really is wonderful. The only thing that is concerning is that he's so small. He's always been small but now he's really small so we're just going to have to watch him. The doc said to eat more but was very careful to note that him being small is NOT my fault, which was nice. Still, I feel guilty, so I am going to start chowing down a bit more. I go back to her in 2 weeks, so every week I see a doc, OB or Peri. 

Other fun note? Baby very clearly looks like my DH He has the same nose and forehead - doc and ultrasonographer agree

That is so cute!  LOL!  I'm glad they are keeping a good eye on you, and it must be fun to get to see him!! 

BTW-- I've recently discovered buffalo meat.  LOTS of protein and iron and leaner than beef.

That is hilarious! Sounds like he's an active little guy in there. Glad to hear things are going pretty well and hope he goes through a growth spurt in the next couple weeks. You are doing so well and have such a great attitude after all you have been through.

Sounds like a great appointment!  Eat up - I second the ice cream.  It has been my favorite thing lately.

Ethan was licking my placenta during my 4d ultrasound. It cracked us up!

I am glad everything looks good and they are watching his size! isn't it amazing to see a resemblance!

Please do me a favor and eat lots of doughnuts, ones with chocolate icing on top to be specific. That is what I am craving from our Cafeteria here at work and I am being a good girl and not giving in, BUT I would like to donate the deliciousness your way!
