I've been told I can have one four hour stretch in the night and all other stretches between feedings must be three hours or less. That hasn't been a problem but tonight I accidentally went 4.5 hours and had to really work at waking LO up. I don't want to get my hopes up that he'll let me sleep like that again but in the event, when can I feel my supply is established enough to let him sleep as long as he likes?
Pumping isn't an option right now because I still haven't introduced the bottle. Thanks!

Then and now. How did my boy get so big?
Re: Late night feedings and supply
you can pump and build a stash, let your LO sleep.
How old is he?
My guy was a FANTASTIC sleeper the first 2 weeks. It took almost an hour to wake him up to eat. At his 1 week appointment he was at birth weight, so the pediatrician said I could start letting him sleep at 2 weeks. Which also corresponded to the time when he started waking to eat every 3 hours.
Two reasons. One is he's a week old and the LC said so when building up my supply. Also he was big and lost 9 of his weight in the hospital. The pedi wants him eating that often.
You can start letting him sleep once he is back to birthweight.
