Poll: Biggest waste of money toy

What one (or two) toys have you been totally dissapointed with?

 Mine was the Amazing Animals Choo Choo train.  Bought it for first xmas and it wouldn't stay hooked together.  I thought it would be so cool, but DS hardly touched it.

What other toys have you been really excited about and totally failed the kid test?

    If thats the same train I am thinking, we have it and DS loves it. We also got the "matching" boat and he loves that as well.

    Ha, while I think that the Bounce and Spiin Zebra was a waste of money, DS liked it as well. It just takes up so dang much room for a few minutes of bouncing.

    The ball popper.  It is unbelievably loud and doesn't have an off switch.  DD is always sticking stuff in it and breaking it.  Too bad she loves it.

    Blocks.  I got DD a giant bucket of pricey foam blocks I thought were super cool.  She just throws them around the room and won't build anything with them.  The doctor ask me how many blocks she can stack.  None, but she can throw about 100.

    i still like the idea of the Amazing Animals train but I agree its been a big waste of money.

     

    i think DS is the only one for us, so we have loads to sell at a garage sale one day!  Barely used toys!

    Penguin bowling. I got it for her last year on an impulse and she never touched it. She had no interest in any toy that crinkled/had texture/squeaked. The ball was semi-interesting for a few days, but that's it. I'm not even packing it up to save for a future kid - it's going to Goodwill before Christmas.

    The fisher price laugh and learn home. It is like a door and it lights up and has sounds.  I thought she'd love it and play with it all the time.  Well she gets her golf clubs and uses it like a minature golf prop and hits the ball through the door.  NICE

    Peek-a-blocks. I thought they were so cool and that DS would love looking at all the things inside, but he never cared. Fortunately, I got them super cheap and they are in great condition for someone else to enjoy.

    FP Drop & Roar Dinosaur

    My mom gave it to them for their 1st b-day (at my request...d'oh!), & once they figured out what it does, it ceased to be interesting. ?I thought it looked cool...

    Mine have LOVED the animals choo-choo though!?

    I have never heard of a child NOT liking the laugh n learn home. Nuts!

    Most toys we have are wastes of money, unfortunately. I thought the FP Stage Toy was barely used, and the Dance Tower from Vtech, too. Same with the Sit N Spin Zebra.

    Definitely the ball bopper.  That thing was so loud and annoying.  DD would always stick her arm down in it and I was always scared it would get stuck.

    She loves her Laugh and Learn Home though.  She got it for her first birthday and still plays with it almost everyday.  We have it in a corner in her room so when she goes through the door she has her own little space back there.  She brings books back there and "reads".  So Cute!

    So far the building blocks I bought are not a big hit.  I remember playing with blocks as a kid though, so I'm hoping she'll like them when she's closer to 3 or 4.

    She's not really into all the Little People sets I bought her for Christmas last year.
