Does your baby "slap" their food?

Alex does this weird thing where he slaps his food before he eats it. Anything that is long-ish, like spaghetti or a stick of cucumber etc. goes in one hand and then he slaps it with the other and watches it wiggle around. He does this with his toys sometimes, too. 

It is the funniest thing and I love when he does it. Just wondering if it's one of those things that all babies do or if it's just him :-)

    Yes, and we have a song that we sing called slappity hands. He slaps everything!

    Lucas loves slapping and throwing food. He also roughs up his toys. His poor crawl snail is abused daily and his glow worm is done for.

    Yes!!  A will slap his food...including he'll slap ME when he's nursing.  He's just started that in the past week.  I'm trying to subtly change that behavior.  :)

    Ha, looks like it's not just him! 

    I have not been successful in catching it on camera yet, but I will one of these days. It's just so funny!
