My 10 month old DS will start MMO in a week and will be there from 9-1 so he will eat lunch there. They will not heat any foods and I am suddenly at a loss for what finger foods to send. I will send a few puffs/crunchies but I'd like for him to have some more nutritious finger foods to eat while he is there. He has been a little slower to eat finger foods so he is not quite ready for diced chicken, etc. Any ideas? TIA!
Re: what do you/would you pack for 10 month old's lunch at MMO or DC?
Small cheese chunks
grapes and other fruit (cut up of course)
Whole Wheat Pasta
Ashlynn really likes a whole wheat pita (folded in half) with melted cheese and avocado. I make this often a head of time cut it in little bites and she will eat it cold
At lunchtime I usually do a tray with separate spaces with different stuff for DD, I've done these things, usually 3 or so different items at a time.
Shredded cheese
Watermelon **DD's favorite
Sliced Peaches
Cooked Carrot (but she eats it cold sometimes too)
Sliced grapes
Blueberries
Sliced strawberries
Shredded chicken
Ritz crackers (the low-sodium kind)
Puffs
cheerios
Sliced Pears
Banana
ETA: Pasta (Sometimes whole-wheat, sometimes plain), Sweet Potato chunks, peas
The other night we had chicken tacos and so I gave her a few peices of cut up tortilla, some chicken, tomatoes, black olives, tomatoes, and a few small pieces of shredded lettuce. I also rolled up tiny tacos with all of that stuff, she loved them!!
