Cutting a tooth

DD is finally getting her first tooth. I can see the slit in the gums...how long til that tooth pops through??? I hope someone says tomorrow because last night was rough.

It has been 5 days since I saw the slit on DS's gums for his next tooth and still no tooth yet. I don't remember how long the others took; I took notice of this one because it seems to be causing him and I more pain (mine coming from lack of sleep Smile

).

For her first two teeth from the time we saw the slit until it cut through was less than a week.

There has been a little slit next to her bottom left tooth now for almost 3 weeks though and the third one still hasn't come through.

DS has four teeth, and for each of them it was about 3-4 days.

DS has 4 teeth now and with him, the worst night is always followed by a tooth showing up the next day or two. Kind of like a canker sore for me, it hurts the worst the day before it finally goes away.

Also, teething sucks.

I think the worst nights are right before and right after you can visually see the white bump. E had a really rough time about two weeks ago, and right after the worst night I could finally see a bump. It still hasn't come in yet, but it is one that is further back, so I don't know if those take longer? He has his two front bottom teeth, and they came in very close to each other, so we had almost a solid week of sucky nights until he finally got some relief.

Thanks, everyone! Last night was horrible. She also has a very stuffy nose and I think the nose is bothering her more than the teeth. Not sure if the teething is causing it, but my poor girl has not been pleased the past two nights. Hoping we see some white in the morning
