Crawling help

My LO HATES being on his tummy! He will roll over and then just cry and get angry until we roll him back again. He doesn't even try to move around at all. I've tried pulling his knees underneath him to kind of show him the crawling position but he won't stay there. I feel like he is way behind as far as crawling goes. How do I help him learn to crawl?

    My son isn't crawling yet either but he is rolling all over the place. I would just put him on his tummy and distract him with a bunch of toys around him and get down on the floor with him. When he figures out he can go places by rolling around/being on his tummy he'll like it more. My son didn't like tummy time at first either but now I can't get him from flipping over, hang in there he'll get used to it. I also read most babies don't start crawling till between 8-10 months and some skip to walking and never really crawl.

    Here is an idea I did it with all my little cousins and I did it with my son. Get a bath towel loop it under him and hold the ends. It helps to support his tummy off the ground. I would do this while my husband moved his legs. We did this for a couple weeks and now this past week he is crawling all over the place.

    My son hated tummy time too.  Don't worry.  I literally flipped his legs under his belly and held them there.  He would plunge himself onto his belly and he would sit and cry.  Just this week he's finally holding himself up on all fours - and rocking back and forth. 

    He's still not crawling yet - but I am not concerned.  I'm enjoying him being immobile for only a short while longer.

    I don't have any advice- I just want you to know you're not alone. If LO is playing and I'm in the kitchen (we have an open floor plan) and I hear him crying, I know it's pretty inevitable that he is on his stomach. He sits up amazingly, but he'll lunge for things (or try to pull up on things) and end up on his stomach. He gets angry/whines-- and won't even try to roll back to his back (even though he knows how to). Sometimes I leave him to whine a bit and lately this has worked a bit-- but he still hates his stomach in general. Like you, I'm sort of worried he won't learn to crawl if he never wants to be in that position! Here's to hoping they figure it out soon enough! :)
