Glucose Test Tomorrow...

Was wondering what time do you suggest I drink that yummy, delicious drink (trying to tell myself that, LOL) ..if my appointment is at 2:30.  Oh blood is drawn an hour after. :P

Any tips for me for tomorrow would be great too. :0)

    What did your Dr. tell you?  I don't drink mine till I get there at 3:15.

    Forgot to mention my blood will need drawn an hour after drinking it. :P

    Do they do a baseline blood draw first? I would call your Dr. in the morning and ask if they are drawing blood first and if you should wait to drink it.  Mine does a baseline first, then I drink the stuff, wait an hour, and get blood drawn again.

    Did they already give you the drink?

    When I do mine later this week, I go to the lab, drink the stuff and sit there for an hour, and then have my blood drawn.  It seems that some Drs let you drink it at home. 

    I agree to call in the morning to clarify.

    My Dr. office was very specific about this because they said it must be ONE hour (no earlier or later) that they draw blood.  So, my appt this Friday is at 10:45 and they told me to drink my juice at 9:50 to give myself a few minute to get in a draw blood- and don't be late for the appt.  Good luck!

    I'd also recommend having a little snack or bar in your bag for after.  I know the 1 hr is way different than the 3 hr, but still nice to have that snack after drinking the sweet stuff.

    My dr gave me my drink at my last appt. and told me to drink it 30 minutes before arriving then the test would be done 30 minutes later.
