Still high off of our ultrasound results and pics from last week, and really excited about the remodel progress on our second floor. So those are good things!
But I did spend the entire 2-day (much needed) break from work stressing about said work. So that kinda sucked and backfired a bit.
I'm thinking I might be getting sick because I had a headache all yesterday, and ended up feeling pretty nauseated all evening which is unusual for me. Either that or I'm going to be a 2nd-Tri M/S person. ???
Hope everyone else was able to relax!

Ours was busy and lovely. We're visiting my mom, sister, and niece in Western Mass.
Friday - Was a regular working day for me, C, and my sister. We sort of managed to have dinner together before everyone was off doing their own thing.
Saturday - We celebrated Eid a day early. There were tons of presents for my niece and I think she was a little overwhelmed by the experience, but obviously loved the presents and the attention. C and my sister cooked us a great dinner of butter chicken and we celebrated breaking the Ramadan fast with my sister at sundown.
Sunday - I slept in until a genuinely ridiculous hour. We got ready and drove to Worcester for Eid lunch with my sister's boyfriend. It was nice to meet him. Then we went on to Boston to hang out with my college friends and see my BFF's 9 month old. He is so cute it is ridiculous. We played games and ordered Thai takeout and had a great time. My mom came along too, which worked out really well because we got to spend time with everyone.
Today - working from Mom's house and then flying back to Chicago.
Same sex couple TTC with donor sperm. I am 35 and carrying. Endometriosis and DOR. AMH 0.5, AFC 5-8, FSH 7ish
Saturday - L took the
kids to the gym while I got a lovely 2hrs in an empty house. Went to the
gym and picked up the kids so L could go write. I took them to the
playground, the bookstore, to lunch, the library, and home for a
nap/movie. Dropped them off at Parents Night Out and went to dinner and
clothes shopping with L. That night I slept horribly. At 1:30am someone
texted me asking if I had sold the toddler beds I had posted on
Craigslist 3 weeks ago. REALLY? At 1:30am?!!?!? I couldn't fall back
asleep and then carter woke me at 4:30 needing cough medicine.
Sunday
woke at 7:45 to the sounds of the kids plundering for food. Evidently,
they'd been up for awhile and had eaten cookies, gummy snacks, and
monster mix (nuts, raisins, and M&Ms.) Oops. Fed the kids, cleaned
up the house, did laundry, worked out (aka nearly had a heart attack)
before their godfather came over. We went to the playground and took the kids to
lunch and Target before he left. Spent the remainder of the day putzing
around while the kids played Wii. I need to get better about planning our Sundays. I was just about to put the kids' to
bed, when L called in hysterics that she'd lost everything she'd written
last weekend....about 30 hrs worth of writing. She came home and I
called our computer guru friend who came to our house at 9pm and stayed
till midnight trying to find the deleted file. Sadly, it was to no avail Crashed about
12:30 - which is much later than my normal bedtime.
On Saturday morning we went to a brunch for new and expecting twin parents. I realized that I've never met baby or child twins, only adult twins (besides my own, of course). There were at least a dozen sets of twins there ranging in age from 5 weeks to 10 months. The 10-month-olds were so cute and looked so fun - it made me pretty excited for that age. It was fun, but loud and overwhelming, and I was happy to head out when it was over. My mom came over afterward and I made lunch, and we had a low-key afternoon. I mowed the front lawn but didn't bother with the back - it's not growing much in the dry weather. Saturday night we watched the first two episodes of Firefly.
I don't remember what we did most of Sunday - how does that happen? Sunday evening my parents watched the kids while we went into the city and had dinner and wandered around some, and then we went to a small, century-old amusement park to play mini golf. It was closed, so we checked out the old skating rink, walked around the park in the dark, and made out by the river. Ha. Good date night
My weekend started on Thursday so I will go from there=)
Thursday: We headed to Saratoga Thursday Afternoon to check into our hotel before seeing Diana Krall at Mountain Winery. Hung out in the room having a glass of wine and cheese before we headed out. BEAUTIFUL winery! We got there when it opened and were able to score an awesome spot with a great view to have a snack and a beverage before heading to our seats. Great night. Very needed.
Friday: Headed out nice and early to get home to take JT to his first performance at his school. It was a very cute show. He fell asleep before the finale so his teacher brought him over to us to snuggle until the kids were done. Got home and let the nanny go early for the day. Put the kids down for a nap before heading out to an early dinner of Korean food. ALL the children (except for older DD who was enjoying her last weekend of the summer with her nana at the beach) love Korean food, anything ethnic for that matter. Then home to sit outside to listen to the concert in the park we can hear from our house but were too pooped to walk over to.
Saturday: I headed to a baby shower brunch while DW stayed home with the kids. Had a great time, but had to come home early as DW was working the A's game. I was still a little pissy at her from the night before. I have asthma that gets worse with seasonal allergies and woke up not breathing very well. After my inhaler did not work I needed to do a nebulizer treatment and there was some confusion. She thought I couldn't find it as opposed to it not working so she was snapping at me which does not help when one can't breath. It really was a stupid fight, but I am rather stubborn at times=) I had no desire to stay at home and felt like I wanted a day out with friends, so I called the sitter, she came and I enjoyed my night. I very rarely go out just myself so it was a nice change.
Sunday: Lazy morning with the family. My friend talked me into going to a pleasure party. Wow. Had not been to one in like 10 years and OH MY! I new only 3 other's at the party and had a hard time trying to keep my composure listening to these women talk so openly about sex ( I am a giggler=)...especially this women that was in her 60's...... She was talking about the her preference of "toys" while holding them and just WOW! ha ha. Came home, made a simple dinner while DW napped before work. DD got home about 9:30.
Friday: Met my parents for breakfast at my favorite cafe downtown. K was great and slept most of the morning. Afterward we went back to their hotel and hung out by the pool. We had K in the shade (his "Omi" was holding him), but I ended up getting a sunburn :P. EV got home around 6pm and we met her at the house and ordered chinese food delivery.
Saturday: Picked my Mom up for a Costco run in the morning. Took a break in the afternoon, EV and spent some quality time together. We met up with my parents at an Italian place around 5:30 for dinner. The food was okay - but it was a fun funky old place.
Sunday: Woke exhausted again (K's been waking up a lot at night and I've been getting about 4-5 non-consecutive hours a night...) Met my parents at 9 to go to church. I'd never been to this church (LGBT friendly, alternative community) but have been looking for a spiritual community so I was glad for a reason to go. K was quiet for 10 minutes before I had to take him out of the service. We spent the next hour in a room with a tv screen, nursing, rocking, changing diapers, and getting spit up on. Luckily there were several other mothers with young babies hanging out there or coming/going. It was fun to meet moms and share stories (their babies were 12 weeks +) so I got a sense of what's to come.
Sunday afternoon we BBQ at our place. My parents left around 7pm and we cuddled a now adorably happy baby and EV got some snuggle time in. She left for a week long work/family trip this morning - so that was good.
On thursday night Sprout threw a temper tantrum at his camp family night. I do NOT do 6 year old temper tantrums. So that combined with his generally not great behavior of late earned him a very early bed time on Friday. And we cancelled our plans for a family trip to NYC (did i mention I dont do 6 year old temper tantrums?).
Saturday I got up and went to the gym while DW got the kids up and fed them breakfast. When I got home I got the kids together to dye some rice and pasta then took them for a walk while DW got some down time. Made homemade pizza for lunch then put them down for nap. Both girls took a long, lovely nap and Sprout had a nice quiet "rest" in his room. DW and I cleaned the house and did some chores. My B/SIL came over to pick up the dog we were dogsitting last week and we got the kids up to visit with them for a bit. Then we all went over to Bubby's house for more visiting. After the visit we went over to my parents' house for a swim. The night was all downhill from there and I ended up calling the police (dont worry, DW, the kids and I are all fine - DW/the kids were not involved).
Sunday I got up and went to the gym while DW got the kids up and fed them breakfast. The rice we dyed the day before was ready to play with so I found a big box, poured it in, and let them go to town. They loved it. When that winded down we decided to get out of the house and hit a farmers market (the kids loved listening to a musician there...he even played them 'Call Me Maybe' by request!) and checked out a fish hatchery. Random, fun family adventures. When we got home the kids helped me make peach sorbet from peaches we picked up at the farmers market (YUMMMM) and we did some weeding and planting (Sprout working off his poor behavior from the previous week with a little sweat). Dinner, books, and early bed thanks to no nap and with the cool air, we all slept like rocks.
Friday - M and I had a dinner date. It was very nice and the first time we have really been out to celebrate us since our ttc journey started again in April. We came home and snuggled on the couch and watched a couple of movies.
Saturday - My little brother came over to help M clean out the garage. I made an amazing breakfast of blueberry french toast with blueberry cream cheese. I was a little worried about it turning out ok but it was a big hit! It's a very simple recipe and was really quick. They worked all day in the garage and finally finished about 3 as the rain came. We lost power around 3:30 until about 6 so all work on the house halted so I opened the windows and took an amazing nap! That night I made meatloaf, mashed potatoes and green beans so we ate and just enjoyed the company. Oh and watched the Texans game!!! Go TEXANS!
Sunday - I woke up with a bought of nausea so I rested on the couch for about an hour until it passed. Then we headed to our friends house. M helped hang a ceiling fan. Then we headed for a nice lunch. Their son is in a really fun age (7months) and really can respond with awesome faces and giggles. He is also learning to wave and sign. My favorite thing is he would sit facing me playing and then lean forward and rest his head on my growing belly and giggle! We then went to BRU to start our registry. I wasn't very impressed as a lot of the items we want aren't available in store like the double snap n go, 2 in 1 swings etc. I am now upset as I have to pay shipping on these items. I need to find out if I can ship to a store for free. We finished up and headed home. We snuggled on the couch until bed time.
Bonus Monday - So I know Monday is not the weekend but I heard the most beautiful sound today so I wanted to share. We were finally able to hear both babies on the doppler at our appointments this morning! M was there so it was an amazing time for our growing little family.

fri: I picked up Ky from daycare and we went home and ate dinner. She wanted to watch "dinosaurs" so we cuddle on the couch and it ended right as Ann called ot tell me show would be there in 5 minutes. I went to bed early that night.
Sat: Woke up a few minutes before my alarm. Ky was dropped off and she "helped" me make breakfast. After breakfast, my mom, Ky, and I went shopping. It has been a LONG time since my mom and I ahd a long shopping trip like that. It was a lot of fun! We ended up at the outlet mall here and Ky got several shirts and some fall/winter pjs. She also wanted a mouse (yes that specific mouse) shirt and demanded to wear it as soon as we left the store. We got home and I attempted to grill steak for dinner. Mine was done for me but apparently even though I left them on a lot longer my parents' steaks were too underdone...oops. Ky and I played and she went to bed early due to lack of nap while shopping.
Sun: Ann picked up Ky after breakfast. She actually stayed and talked for a while which was strange and honestly after weeks of her being rude and indifferent, it was a bit suspicious...I spent the rest of the day cleaning to a backdrop of Gre.y's Anatomy. After dinner I gave myself a mani/pedi and went to bed early.
Overall, a good weekend, but I am not sure what is going on with Pumpkin's sleep. We are now down to 2 bottles, 2 ounces each. When he wakes, we try to rock/pat him back to sleep, but after a half hour-hour we end up giving him the bottles. Yesterday he took two barely half-hour naps, and then slept from 7pm-4:30am, with two bottles. (so that's practically an hour each....) Today, he is at about two half-hour naps. Really??? Since 4:30 am?
But, we got the girls school supply shopping nearly done. Their new school has a strict dress code (plain blue or white tops, tan or black pants...) so I took Zucchini Fri & Carrot sat to get shoes & clothes. They have their supplies.
Picnic at my parents house yesterday, with some annoying extended family, who asked, in front of Zucchini, "When is this all going to be over and the adoption going to be final?"
