I have been lurking on the board at work while I am bored. We are not going to start trying until the fall but I like to read all of the names.
My name is Carly and I love my name. I have not seen it listed once in the past 2 days. My middle name is Marie.

Re: What is your name? And do you like it?
I love Leigh one of my favorite girls names is Leah.
I use to hate my first name but it grew on me and now I love it
Brandy. I hated it growing up. I was jealous of the girls that had 'normal' names (i.e. Jennifer, Heather, Lisa, Amy...that sort of thing - I was born in the early 70s). I don't mind it now, I just mind that everyone misspells it (I am not sure why so many people switched the 'y' out with the 'i'...that is NOT how it is spelled on the bottle).
My middle name is Sunshine. Again...I was not a fan growing up...but absolutely LOVE it now!
We named our daughter Stella Marie and were pretty much decided on that early on (we were team green and never did agree on a boy name). However, one of the runner up choices was Carly Sunshine.
My name is Gianna and I love it now, but it was extremely uncommon when I was growing up and no one could pronounce it, so I hated it.
Hillary Jean
My dad fought my mom tooth and nail because he hated it and the fact that there were no obvious nn choices. Well, everyone calls me Hil, it's NBD. Jean is a family name, if I ever have a daughter that will be her mn too. Growing up I wished I had a more common name, but now I don't mind it at all.
My name is Erin and I like it now. When I was little I didn't like it. But I think you really become your name.
DH's name is Clayton and I like that.
Baby girl #1 7/11/13
Baby girl #2 4/30/15
Baby Boy Due 2/16/19!
I'm an Elizabeth and wasn't too fond of it I thought it was too formal. Most people call me Liz which I like. I do love Elizabeth now, and Anne which I also thought was boring.
My name is Chasity. I've grown to love it. Growing up it was always misheard and misread and misremembered as Chastity, Charity, Chelsea, Christy. Aquaintances I've known for years still sometimes say Chastity or write it that way (like on FB). Things were even worse at my small church where there are 2 other Chasity's (so weird- never met another one until we joined when I was 10!!), and a Cassie and Casey very close in my age. I definitely had an identity crisis and fantasized about a different name and got to a point where I felt like I couldn't correct people.
My middle name is Rose, which I absolutely love. I hate that it's so trendy to use that as a middle name now because I've always wanted to use it because I think it's beautiful, not because it's mine. DH doesn't like it so I guess that's a no anyway.
Angela Colette
I don't think I have ever hated it. All of my sisters and I had matching names, so it just fit. When I was younger, I knew I was part of the family because of my name (which sounds silly, but when you have older sisters who tell you that you were dropped off by an alien clan and that mom and dad adopted you out of pity, you need that connection sometimes). I don't go by any nickname; Angie is definitely not okay for me. People normally ask, "Angela or Angie?", and it's pretty easy to correct them. Overall, I like it.
My middle name is Marie. All of my Aunts and female cousins on my mom's side have this middle name and I love it. I'll pass it down someday.
Adrienne Danielle
I never had an issue with it as a child or as an adult. The only issue is when people think they are the first ones to ever yell "Yo Adrienne!" But that issue is because they are annoying, not my name...
I like my name, and have always liked it it despite the fact that it was often mispronounced and misspelled when I was in school. It is Rachelle (pronounced Rush-Elle). I got called Rachel, Rochelle, and even Russia!
I do still get called Rachel from time to time, but it seems as if my name is a little more common now!

Amy Catherine.
I'm fine with my name and never minded that there were like 5 other Amy's in my class. I remember when I was younger wishing that my fn was Catherine because I thought it was prettier and less boring. My one grandma's name was Catherine so I like the family significance even though I never knew her because she died before I was born. DH always tells me he loves my name, so that makes me happy.
My parents named me Amanda, but loved Mandy as a first name and called me Mandy since birth. They were afraid it wouldn't be formal enough for later in life. Now, literally NO ONE calls me Amanda, I've had friends for years that thought my legal name was "Mandy".
My husband has a fairly common name with a very unusual spelling. Between my name and his name, we have put TONS of thought into what to name our little one!
My name is Alys Gabrielle...i prefer Aly even tho Alys is spelled different i still feel like its an old lady name. i do like my middle name.
Jennifer Calan
My parents knew Jennifer was crazy popular and did it anyway. I was "supposed" to go by my middle name (pronounced like my screen name), which would have been super rare at the time. Apparently after I was born they didn't correct anyone. I'm pretty ambivalent about it now. Most people call me Jenn. I hate Jenny/i/ie.
As a kid (and one of 8 Jennifers in my class) I thought I'd give my child my middle name, and she would be totally unique. Now I think people will think I came up with a new youneek spelling for Caitlin.
My name is Brigid. As a child, I didn't like it. I wanted to have a more normal name. It is the Irish spelling of the name so most of my life people misspelled my name. Even my grandpa didn't spell my name right until the last birthday card he sent before he died.
I like it well enough now. It's interesting and I rarely meet anyone else with the same name. It really gives me a real feeling of ownership with my name which is nice.
Amanda Rachelle
It is ok. I have gone by Mandy since I was around 6 and nobody can ever pronounce my middle name Rachelle= Ray-shell (can you tell I was born and raise in the south?) Nothing really wrong with it, it's just not something I would have picked for myself.
Rainbow Surprise Baby due 05/26/2017
Samantha Nicole.
When I was little, I wouldn't let anyone call me by my full name. I hated Samantha (I was such a tomboy growing up, I wanted to change my name to a boy's name) and there were always 3 or 4 other Samanthas in school with me growing up. Everyone had to call me Sam. And Sam-I-Am got old really quick, too.
I still go by Sam, but don't mind much if someone calls me Samantha. I actually really like my name now. Not a huge fan of Nicole, but I think Samantha Nicole flows really well.
My parents named me Samantha so that I could have a more masculine NN, and I've always appreciated that they did that. We just had our first baby 10 weeks ago and named her Raegan Claire specifically becuase it was a strong name that could be shortened to Rae (looks feminine, sounds masculine). I hope she likes it!
40/112
My name is Anne, and I go by Annie. I am only so-so on Anne, but I love being Annie. I'm such an Annie.
My name is Allison, but most people call me Ally (the stupid spelling of Ally came into play when I was in middle school and thought "Y" was cooler than "ie"...it's not). I like that my parents chose a traditional name, with a traditional spelling but I also love that I have a cutesy nn, which ended up really working for me. The name is NMS at all though.
My mn is Margaret and I have always hated it.

Abigail. I didn't like it much when I was little because it seemed so 'grown up' and I always went by Abby. I love my name now though but I still get Abby a lot. I love how feminine it sounds and it looks wonderful on resumes. I have never had problems with anyone misprouncing it or misspelling it until recently.
Angelita. I have always loved my middle name. I have yet to meet anyone else with the name. It sounds very feminine IMO and it flows really nicely when you say my whole name, even if it is a bit of a tongue twister. Lol.
ezra everyday
Brianna Lyn
Ive always loved my name. Never been fond of the nn Bri, but you deal with it.
