It took my husband and I ten months. It doesn't sound that long but it felt like an eternity. I was beginning to think something was wrong with me. It felt like everyone around me was getting pregnant!
It was about 8-10 months for us as well. We were kind of half ass trying though and really buckled down in March and got our BFP in June:) I am so thankful to be preggers:)
Off and on for exactly 3 years....I charted and we really timed it for 17 of those months before getting pregnant with my first baby. I had taken a break and not charted for months and in December 2011 told DH I wanted to get serious about trying again. That was the cycle I got my first bfp. It was the 3rd cycle after my miscarriage that I got pregnant with this one.
May PAL Siggy Challenge - Mom Humor
TTC Since June 2009
BFP #1 - 1/15/12, EDD 9/21/12, Missed M/C - 2/10/12 - I miss you Sapphire!
BFP #2 - 7/1/12 - Met my lucky charm Alexandra on 3-16-13!!!
It took us 6-9 months. We were actively trying for 6 months but my doctor said because I was off BC for 3 months before we started, there was the potential to get pregnant. However, we were practicing NFP and typically avoiding during my FW (there were a few times we did have sex during FW). Overall, I would say 6 solid months of actively trying.
I seriously sound like a FH here, but it happened on the second cycle. The first time (twins) it took us five YEARS and tons and tons of money on surgeries and procedures until we found our cocktail of Follistim and IUI. We lost the twins, then almost immediately (2nd try) got pg with DS who is now 17m. It took 2 more cycles to get these twins. So in total = 5 Follistim/IUI cycles equalled 3 pregnancies for us (after many failed Clomid and other cycles).
Twin boys born too early at 17w4d and 18w2d in February 2010
Transabdominal cerclage placed September 2010
DS born at 35w1d in February 2011
Twin girls born at exactly 36w in February 2013
It's complicated. We started trying last September, I got pregnant immediately, and lost it immediately. Rinse and repeat four more times until this past April (seriously, I got BFPs every time we tried, but they went CP immediately). In April I had surgery to remove a fibroid the size of a ping pong ball, and once I had a full cycle, which took until June, we tried again. It seems to have stuck this time, knock on wood

16 months. We started fertility testing the month before I got my bfp. I actually was waiting for my period to show up before I scheduled my hsg appt. Happy to be here, nausea and all.
I had been off BCP for almost two years and actively trying (OPKs, charting, etc) for 19 months. We were going through all of the infertility testing and found out DH had a low count and morphology issues. We actually had an appt with the urologist the day we found out, so while we were trying, it was still a surprise.
Went off bc in Oct and we tried for 4 months then my cycle went crazy and I did my first round of Clomid in June which lead to the BFP. I was very concerned that I would have issues, about 3 years ago I was diagnosed with a precancerous condition called Complex Hyperplasia w/ Atypia. Typically most drs automaticcally do a hysterectomy -I was devastated my DH and I had only been dating a few months at that point and I knew he was the one I had been waiting my whole life for when he looked at me and said "don't even try to pull the you can leave me if I can't have kids crap, I love you even if you were in an accident and ended up in a wheel chair. If we can't have them naturally we will adopt."
Lukily my dr recognized I wanted children and I had to have a D&C then do 6 months of progesterone but that cured me. Fast forward to starting to miss my periods again and I thought the condition caused lingering problems. We feel very blessed by God to have this little one on the way.
18 months, 4 medicated cycles and 3 IUIs. Every female in my family has struggled with fertility problems so we knew there was a possibility I would struggle too. My mom and sister both have PCOS but I didn't. I got really excited but then more and more test results came back showing problems. I'm so glad I did all the testing. I've felt like a new person since getting my thyroid levels where they should be.
TTC since 3/2011 Adenomyosis, LPD, hypothyroidism.
BFP on 7/20/12 after 4 cycles Clomid + IUI
2 large subchorionic hematomas & no heartbeat at 7w6d
D&E 8/18/12 Sonohysterography found septum and necrotic tissue.
1st cycle, then ended as a CP. waited for 6 weeks to try again, and then got a BFP the next month So basically it took a 3 month process total for this LO
It was about 8-10 months for us as well. We were kind of half ass trying though and really buckled down in March and got our BFP in June:) I am so thankful to be preggers:)
Basically the same for us except we tried harder starting around my january cycle
When trying the first time around I got pregnant the first cycle off BC but it ended in a CP. We waited one month and then got pregnant the first month we started trying again with DS.
This time I got pregnant the first time trying (but had been off BC for several months) and it also ended in a CP. We didn't wait a month in between and just kept on trying and got pregnant again right away...and hopefully this one sticks!
The first time we had completely unprotected sex. I realize how lucky we were. We weren't trying yet but I knew it was not uncommon for it take months or a year+ so I didn't think it would happen right away.
2 years - 6 months after starting IF testing and the cycle after I had my HSG procedure where the radiologist was joking with me that sometimes clearing out your fallopian tubes is all it takes. I think I should pay him extra! :-P
DH has a low sperm count and we were basically told that natural conception wasn't in the cards for us. Surprise!
We actively tried for 8 cycles. While I knew we were still in the "normal range" for a healthy, young couple with no history of losses, we did start to wonder. I went off the pill and started taking PNVs in Jan 2011, started charting in May and then started TTC in November.
Me: 30, DH: 33 Married 8/3/08 BFP 7/16/2012 (8th cycle), EDD 3/27/2012, Delivered 3/24/2013 - IT'S A BOY!
It took 6 months with my first pregnancy and 1-2 months this pregnancy. I have friends that have been TTC for years (4 years and 7+ years) so I never expected it to happen as quickly for me.
5 cycles, 1 after my last miscarriage but we were pretty obsessive about it (DH was totally interested in my charting and everything else). Apparently the relax approach doesn't fly with either one of us... my last two charts are linked in my signature I think. DH had MFI issues and we were told before we tried for DD that IVF was more than likely going to be our only option.
2.5 years. We had actually finished all our pre-work at the fertility doctor. I was trying to figure out when our best time for our appointment would be to go back and talk about our options. Then, surprise, pregnant!
We were just a few months from TTC again when I got a surpise BFP in May, which ended in m/c. Even though we were still a month away from our original TTC plan, we decided to go ahead and move forward. We got pg the very next cycle after the m/c.

To conceive DD, 4 years (including 2 m/c, 2 surgeries on my ute, and one round of IUI).
For this one, 1 cycle of just not preventing.

We were trying about a year though.
