Is this "normal" sick baby behavior?

This is the first time one of my guys has been sick sick (not just sniffles etc) .  He has slept nearly all day, woke up this morning to eat, was up for an hour and half went back down, was up for an hour and a half and then slept for nearly 3 hours.  He was stirring so I went and got him and he fell back asleep on my chest.  He had his back arched so I was basically looking right at his face, and it was really strange, it was like he was asleep but his eyes were open.  He was just completely glazed over, then his little eyes rolled back and came back down to normal.  He still had the glazed look and after about 2 minutes he closed his eyes and went back to sleep.  It has me a bit freaked out.  Wasn't sure if this is normal sick baby behavior or not.  He doesn't have a fever, but has a stuffy nose, red nose, eyes, and cheeks and his voice is very raspy.

Any thoughts?

  • I'm not sure about the eye thing, but S had a fever Sunday night (100) and has been a sleeping machine the last 3 days.  She has also been VERY fussy when she has been awake.  I would call the pedi the minute he gets a fever.  I hope he feels better soon!!
  • called the pedi he said it sounds like he was transitioning in his sleep pattern no big deal.  He also told me he thinks he is developing a cold of some sort (GREAT I thought this was the worst of it, but he said it was just the beginning stages).

I hope he is feeling better soon.
