we received a bouncer and a play mat as late gifts... after we already bought them, opened them up, etc. i'll return them if i have to, but i was thinking instead i could send them home with my parents (who live across the country) so we can use them at christmas.
she'll be about 3 months when we get there. we'll probably stay for almost a month. that's within the age range for these products, right? when do babies usually stop using these things? 5-6 months?
thanks!
Re: age range for bouncer, play mat?
We started using the playmat at 6 weeks and used it until DD was at least 4 months. We converted to a much bigger playmat because we have no carpet around 6 months.
We started using the bouncer immediately and used it through probably 7 months or so. I know I got rid of it around 9 or 10 months.
LO was 1 week old when I started using the bouncer- I used it all the time- including having a place for him to sleep while I showered. LO also had some refulx issues so he spent many nights sleeping in the bouncer. I think he was about 6 months old when I finally put it away.
LO was 1 month old when I got out the play mat. He would lay on his back and swat at the dangling toys. When he was 3 months old or so, then we took off the toys and he used it for laying and sitting on. I think i finally put it away when he was about 6 months old and I got a bigger blanket to put on the floor for him to play on.
