AF is late, but bfn...still possibly pregnant?

Okay, so my periods vary month to month but I rarely go beyond a 35-36 cycle. My average is about a 33 cycle.  Today is day 41 of my cycle.  I took a pregnancy test about 4 days ago and it was negative.  I have no idea when I ovulated since my DH wants to just "let things happen".  I know maybe I just need to wait a little longer, it took about 18 cycles to conceive DS and we're only on cycle 6 of ttc #2.  Ladies, what do you think, could I still be pregnant?

    If you had unprotected sex around the time you ovulated, then it is possible to be pregnant.  The more likely explanation is that you ovulated later than you normally do.  My advice would be to start charting your BBT (you can sign up through anyones sig).  Call your doctor if you get to 60 days without a period.

    IVF with ICSI in August 2013 brought us our babies.  ER-9R, 7M, 4F w/ICSI  ET of 2-Grade 2 blasts. 
    + HPT at 6dp5dt. #1 (8dp5dt)- 105    #2 (13dp5dt)- 510  #3 (15dp5dt)- 960  #4 (17dp5dt)- 1889
    Dx shortened cervix, PTL, and preeclampsia during pregnancy.  Lots of medications and 13 weeks of bedrest, babies were born healthy at 34w4d!

    FYI posts like this might not get the answers you want.  In general I would test again in the am.  No period for 60 days and still negative=doctor.

    To my husband "just letting it happen" means "don't tell me too much and don't say things like 'today - gotta do it today'".  I chart and do OPKs still... just without putting any pressure on him.

    Mine is the same way! Although last night he asked "what was your temp?" and then "so what does a change mean?". I think he's curious but just doesn't want to seem too into everything at this point (ie doesn't want to be like his super type A wife!). 

    Mine did the same thing the other night. 

    When he woke me up this morning for work he said "Baby, time to wake up. Here is your thermometer".I thought that was very nice since he knew I was on the other side of the bed and don't like to move a lot before taking my temp. He stood there and read it for me since it was too dark for my eyes to adjust. (He was standing there because I was on his side of the bed and he was waiting to get in it.)

    I see your LO is only 8 months old, are you Breastfeeding? If that's the case your cycles could be completely erratic.
