LB, why no clicky poll? Didn't you learn this lesson in another post recently? (though obviously fall would kill it)

Anyway, I'd normally say fall for most of the reasons previously stated (cooler weather, fashion, food, lead up to holidays, back to school excitement, etc.). I'm also a NYer, and NY falls just kick ass. The anniversary of my sister's death, however, is October 8th so that has put a damper on fall for the last few years for my fam. It'll be nice to have a new baby to focus on and celebrate this year (and all to come)!

I also love spring, especially since moving to Canada. The winter, even the mild Toronto winter, is far too long so spring (or beginning summer since spring sometimes doesn't really exist here) is awesome. The first day you can have a beer on a patio is a good day!

because I suck. I have no other excuse. ha-ha

Fall was really bad for me for a long time, for the same reasons you have. I lost my mom, my Granny & a baby in a matter of weeks. November was one constant reminder after another of my losses. Hell, until a few years ago, I wouldn't even celebrate Thanksgiving. I finally realized that I had kids who didn't need to be brought down by my misery & I have learned to embrace it now.

    ((hugs)) i get it.

  • I am a summer baby and love the summer, that is before I was pregnant in this heat! I love sun dresses and flip flops, spending time at the beach, etc.

My second runner up is fall because of football. I would like fall more if my allergies didn't flare up so bad.

    Kid #1 - 09/03/12
    Kid #2 - maybe???
    Diagnosed with Severe Ashermans
Hysteroscopy #10 - scar tissue grew back reblocking my right tube
#11 or IVF with scarring still inside?
1 lone embryo from September 2016 retreival, dx with Trisomy 16, starting fresh
  • Summer is my very favorite.  I love the weather (although the hot nights have been killing me this year), being able to get out and do whatever, the long days, warm nights.  Summer is the best season in Seattle, IMO.

Spring is next, then comes Fall and Winter.  I do like certain things about the other seasons, but I don't like being cold.  Like, at all.

  • I love fall too.  I love the fall smells and sweater weather!  Also the fact that everything starts up again, and we get back into our routine is great!

I also love the Christmas season!  I tend to decorate by the middle of November, and start listening to Christmas music and stuff.  I always get really sad in January when it all comes down!

  • I love Fall and Winter... I love the colors and smells of Fall, and football, of course.  I love pumpkins and Halloween and even the rainy days.  I love back to school time (except the first week of the semester here - way too crazy!), back to school clothes and binders and notebooks.  I love Fall clothes and that there's still a warm breeze but it's not too hot.

I love winter too, because I love the holiday season and I LOVE the snow.  However, I'd say for me that Fall wins because once we get into cloudy dreary February, I'm about over winter.  Although I still love winter clothing.

I feel like where I live Spring doesn't really exist (it just goes from cold and snowy to hot and humid overnight), and the heat in the Summer makes me uncomfortable even when I'm not pregnant.

My answer is always different depending on the time of the year.  I am always ready for the next season when the time comes.  Right now, I am SO looking forward to fall, but come November, I'll be antsy for winter and so on...

    The grass is always greener

I think this is me. I am so jonesing for boots and sweater weather right now.

But overall, I think fall and spring win my heart. I like the colors, smells and holidays of fall but the green freshness of spring is amazing when it comes after a long, dreary winter.

  • If this was a clicky poll Fall would be winning by a landslide!! Add me to the fall fan club!  It reminds me of school starting, comfy clothes, yummy smells, and anything pumpkin or apple is wonderful!  I actually made pumpkin bread last night after the post about bread and muffins.  It is sooooo good!

Can't wait for mid-September for these reasons, plus my LO will be here!!!

This is me. I'm always ready for the next season, but I still have to say Fall is overall my favorite. I love the weather, the changing leaves, the fantastic FOOD and smells, and I love the holidays and decorating. I'm least likely to wish away fall, but I'm still looking forward to snow and winter by the end of it.

  • Winter is my favorite season. I love decorating for Christmas. I put up three trees in our house last year - a big one by the fireplace, a medium size one that I let my husband decorate and a mini one that my step-daughter can decorate and keep in her room.

And I LOVE snow and the smell of the air right before it snows. There's just something about snow that makes things romantic and kind of magical for me. Smile

Then there's building a fire in the fireplace and drinking hot cocoa or whatever drink you prefer. Making sugar cookies and other goodies for the holidays. Cute boots, sweaters, winter coats, scarves, and hats are also a good reason to love winter. My list could go on and on.

Fall comes in a close second though because I love the changing colors and decorating the house for fall as well.

  • Fall has always been my favorite season.  Michigan has beautiful Falls.  Gorgeous colors, nice crisp air...it's just awesome.  And I love the smell of Fall.  Oh...and Pumpkin Spice Lattes will be back at Starbucks.

  • I'll jump in on the hayride here.  Fall is mine for all of the already mentioned reasons.  I love the food, the cool air, coffee all day, the smell of burning leaves, pumpkin EVERYTHING, decorating, clothes, football...I could go on and on.  I usually start my fall decorating the first weekend in September.  Since I'm due that weekend, I'm starting next weekend.  Don't judge me.  lol... I just want to be prepared.   Then, the first weekend of October, I decorate for Halloween...  ahhh... AND, we live in the Northeast now, so I get a real live honest to God FALL this year!!!!

  • Christmas is my favorite time of year but it goes too fast. Fall is by far my favorite season! I love the leaves changing color, the cooler temperatures, sweaters and boots, the comfort food, bonfires and most of all- FOOTBALL!

This whole thread makes me want to throw on jeans, a sweater, and some ballet flats. Too bad my clothes wouldn't fit...and my feet are too swollen for anything other than flip flops.

  • You ladies are making fall sound so amazing!! I've always been a summer girl. I love the clear, warm, long days. Swimming, flip flops, shorts, barbecues... I love it all!

I've always really loved Christmas time. It's my favorite holiday, and you just can't beat the warm atmosphere it brings.

Thanks, man! Sounds like you definitely have some rough fall associations too! Yeah, I'm excited about this year with the LO on the way. We're moving into a bigger, nicer space (though still renting, but I think we'll be there for a good few years at least) so that's already contributing to a more positive outlook this year. It's a cozy space and I can just picture us being all snuggled up by the fire--lots of good stuff to look forward to :)

  • Fall! I'm so glad this baby will be here for the fall. I love everything about it - colors, food, smells...
