Did you notice that your LOs startle reflex took longer to go away because they were premature?
DD starts daycare in a few weeks and I am dreading it. She is still swaddled for naps and bed time because she will startle herself awake almost immediately if not swaddled. We have started having her sleep on a flat, non-moving surface (crib or PnP) and she is not doing well with that for naps. I can only imagine how overtired she will be since daycaee cannot swadle and she has to sleep in a PnP.
Re: Startle Reflex
It to for f-ing ever for his to go away. Almost 9 months. He was swaddled for awhile (in an escape proof sawddle) and then we used a sleep suit (not to be confused with a sleep sack). We had one for daycare and one for home.
We had the doctor write us a note. They said he could be swaddled until 6 months adjusted (daycare had a 6 month policy). We were allowed to use the sleep suit beyond that It was rough.
We'll miss you sweet Debbie Girl (4.21.12) and sweet Cindy Girl (8.9.12)
