Hi all,
My last period was June 21. I supposedly ovulated July 12th, and I was supposed to start my period July 26th. AF still hasn't visited. I took a test at 1 day late..negative..and again at 1 week late (August 2nd)..also negative. I have been very crampy, like I will be starting anytime. My cycle ranges from 26-37 days..so on average my cycle length is approximately 35 days. I am now approximately 45 days since my last period. I thought I was starting yesterday as I had slight discoloration, but then it stopped. I know the liklihood of my being pregnant at this point are slim, but is anyone else experiencing this or has anyone not tested positive until further along? Please any advice is welcome. Thanks!

Everyone has wonky cycles, even people who are normally regular. Are you actually charting your ovulation, with OPK's or by charting your temp? Because if not, then you really wouldn't know if you actually ovulated on the 12th (I'm assuming you used a ovulation calculator, which are all sorts of wrong!)
Wait it out, keep testing once a week, if you reach 60 days with no period then you can call your Dr up. He'll probably give you provera to jump start your period.
In the mean time, read the newbie link and learn about charting so you can start that up next cycle.
I was actually getting ready to post, but I had to reply to you first. I'm in almost the exact same boat as you!! My last period was June 23rd and I got a positive ovulation test on July 11th, so I kind of assumed that I would ovulate on July 12th. I have taken several preg. tests in the last few weeks, all negative (except a false positive on July 30th, but I read it after 10 minutes). I'm now on day 45 of my cycle and so frustrated. I'm thinking I didn't even ovulate.
I am always having these long cycles and it really sucks. I think I do ovulate though because I got pregnant in February but had to have a D&C in March because of an anembryonic pregnancy.

I'm sorry, it sounds as if you are not pregnant. Better luck next cycle. To answer your question: I didn't think to take a HPT until well into my pregnancy with DD. I had no PMS or pregnancy symptoms except that I hadn't gotten my period. I felt great & realized that was unusual. I should have had PMS etc. I was on BC at the time & it failed. That is my experience.
I think because you are TTC you are hyper-aware of everything & hoping it means that you are pregnant. We call what you are experiencing "phantom symptoms". From what I've read (we are avoiding until 2013) they really stink & throw you for a loop. The best to you!

DD is almost a year old, so I'm not currently pregnant. I don't know if you were asking me if I'd had blood work done yet?

Thanks. Sorry to confuse you all.
(0_o) ... Is this essentially "relax & it will happen?". I could be wrong, but from what I've read in my research to help support my IF friends this is a major no no to advise people to "just relax" or any variation.

THIS!!! You posted this exact same thing 4 days ago! You are going to get the same answers!
CHART, CHART, CHART! You will get your period anywhere between 10 - 14 days (your LP) after you O (which you confirm with charting). You are not late, you have a longer cycle this go around. And if I had the flow chart, I would enter it (take HPT till day 60, call your dr. past day 60). If the HPT is negative and you are "late", you aren't pregnant. Chart and we will be able to help you out a lot more! It will help you too! You will know when you ovulated and when you should expect your period.
