1st day of daycare, YIKES!

Today is DDs first day of daycare and I have been stressing about this day for weeks. I feel bad b/c I didn't tell them goodbye. We walked in and they went straight to some toys and didn't look back. I just called to check on them and the teacher told me they are fine and eating breakfast. I have one independent one and one clingy Mommy's girl. She said she can tell a difference in personality already.  They are only going two days a week for now.

Do you have any experience with 2 or 3 days a week of day care? They are going to daycare b/c I think they need to be around other kids instead of with mawmaw and pawpaw all day, everyday. They are with my IL's the other days.

    Oh how tough!  Dont' feel bad about sneaking out!  That was probably easier for them then if you'd said goodbye.  No experience yet....sorry.

    Well, my guys are in daycare full time - BUT, I have that guilt all the time.  I drop my 3 year old off in his room first, then bring the twins to their room - but then my 3 year old usually comes down to the babies classroom, so I leave quickly to get him back to his room and to get to work - that I often don't say good bye to them.  They're 6 months old, so they don't know the difference but I feel terribly.

    I think it is great that they went straight to playing in the room and were not scared about the new room. Don't feel bad about not saying goodbye, sometimes that is easier on the kids and keeps them from clinging while you are trying to get out the door.
