Hi all. Our 6 week old (7 on Monday) has loved his pacifier from day one but now all of a sudden screams when we try to give it to him. Anyone had a similar experience???
DD took a pacifier at 2 days old and gave it up at 6w. We also had issues with her taking a bottle (she stopped at 9w). We kept trying both for about 6w and then gave up. Our ped said it's not super common but does happen.
Married 1/2/99.
TTC since 4/09.
Diagnosed PCOS. Diagnosed Hypothryoid 11/09.
SHG & SA normal. PCOS Research study started 5/10.
Clomid/Femara cycle #1 - 6/10 = BFN
Clomid/Femara cycle #2 - 7/10 = BFP #1 - Missed miscarriage 9/2/10
11/12 - BFP #2 - 11/22 - m/c
5/1/11 - BFP #3 - Pre-eclampsia, IUGR & bed rest from 32w. DD born via induction 1/4/12.
Try a different brand or style-our baby girl took the Nuk orthodontic pacifier for a few weeks and then refused it. We tried a different brand (evenflow) and she took it with no problems. Good luck!

My son started to reject his, too. So now I dip the nipple in some formula or some pear juice and he takes it just fine.
