A 3 shelf food steamer is at aldi for $20 and it looks cool to steam 3 veggies at once, but I vaguely remember something about carrots or something that maybe it isn't ok to steam things together for baby food. Also, would it be cool to use this left over water (if it makes any) to thin purees?

This is what I do. Just steam them and process them and then freeze in ice cube trays and pop them out, store them in Ziplocs in the freezer and pull out cubes as needed. Works perfect and it's one less kitchen gadget that I had to buy!
