New moms of girls - PSA

This came to me in the shower this morning and I figured I'd post it b/c it scared me when it happened.  Your daughter will most likely have vaginal bleeding within the first couple weeks.  It's hormone related and completely normal.  DD's actually looked like red crystals in her diaper.  I called the nurses line freaking out.

  • I remembered when that happened with my daughter. I freaked out. But here happened when she's was like 6 months old. I thought someone had touched her or something at the daycare and rushed her to the ER. hero was defiantly shocked to learn they could do that so young.

  • Good to know.

DS had blood in his urine a few days after I took him home from the hospital and I called the doctor freaking out.  She said it could have been from breastfeeding if my nipples were bleeding a bit it could have come through in his urine.  So I guess it can sort of happen to boys also.

  • I think one of the doctors or nurses - somebody at the hospital, told me about this.  Never actually happened though.  Good heads up, OP!
  • I had this as a baby. Isn't it odd???
  • WTF.

I can't imagine how anyone would think a girl is easier!

  • This is one thing I knew. One of my customers grand daughters had it. It actually didn't stop and they had to go to a gyno for the baby.

This for me too.  My pedi warned me about this, but neither of my girls had it.  We will see if girl #3 does or not.
