Baby Jogger City Mini Double Car Seat Adaptor PIP

I got the double adaptor and set it up on my city mini double.

Does this look ridiculous to anyone else? Seriously. What was Baby Jogger thinking? I feel like I am pushing a car seat in mid air. Not to mention it makes the stroller about 15 lbs. heavier. I was really looking forward to being able to snap the car seat into the stroller and be on my way instead of placing baby in the stroller.

Not sure I want to even use this horrible contraption.

Yup it is quite ridiculous looking! I decided to forgo the car seat adaptor for my City Mini Double. It might take a few extra seconds to get baby in and out but that thing looks crazy haha.

Yeah it totally throws off the whole look of the stroller lol! We didn't get the adapter because we read so many not great reviews about it--we got the bassinet instead which is great. Most often though, we just take her out and use a snuzzler in the seat, which she loves! It does look really ridiculous lol!

It does look a little strange but many ladies that walk at my local park use it and it works. I plan to get the adaptor with my next. It may take some getting used to.

Totally crazy! I hooked mine up when I was pregnant with DS and didn't feel it was safe. I returned it and just used a carrier in the first weeks and then put him directly in the stroller. That adaptor is horrible.

Mine doesn't look like that at all. I cant go out to my stroller right now, but something's not right. I think you need to adjust the bar, and bring it closer to the stroller.

This. I've heard nothing but bad reviews of it, so we decided to skip it, get the belly bar, and put DS directly into the seat.

On first look, I'm surprised it doesn't hook in right below the canopy. Isn't that where most CM accessories go?

Yeah. Not this adaptor for the double. You actually lift up the bottom fabric and screw it into the stroller.

Doesn't look right at all, that would make me crazy! LA, I agree, it looks too far forward.

DH and I did the same exact thing as you did with your adaptor, until one day DH figured it out. We felt so dumb becuase we actually took a walk or two with the carrier like that.

There should be a bar like this...(the little silver bar)

Your carrier should have a "hook" (I'm not sure what it's called). Mine is red.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I have a feeling a lot of people make the same mistake as we did, and that's why they hate the adaptor so much.

Omg! I see! So the seat clicks into the closer bar not the one outboard. That looks so much better! I'm totally going to try it out today!

Thanks for this post. I currently have a city mini single and the double is on my 'craigslist search' list. Good to see actual pictures of the right and wrong way to install, lol

What does it look like when it's folded up. Does the bar stick out? We are looking at getting this double for our second and we like it because it folds pretty compactly for the car. Does the bar stick out or add extra space?
