Slow around here. Help me choose a name for baby #3

Ok, we're already having epic battles over what to name this child. We're having our second boy. DD is Reagan Claire and DS1 is Lincoln Samuel. We are not married to the idea of using a presidents name. We don't love uber trendy names but aren't crazy about the Matthew, Jonathan, Michael route either. It needs to sound good with the other two kids but doesn't have to "match".

I like Graham, Griffin, Charles (Charlie). DH doesn't hate them. He likes Elijah and Cooper. I don't hate those but don't love them either. Hence our dilemma.

Ideas? Suggestions?

What about Thomas? It's traditional, fits the president theme, not super trendy. I'm a but partial because that's one of our top boy names

Franklin-(as in Benjamin, yes I know he wasn't a presient) I love this name, My BFF's boyfriend's kid is named this.

Leo-I was going to name Violet this if she was a boy

Augustan- just another one I love

Edison-(as in Thomas Edison, and he wasn't one either

Oliver-because it's the best ever

Cooper sounds like a dog name to me. I like Elijah (Eli). If you want to stay presidential I like Truman as a first name.

I don't mind Franklin, I think Frankie is a great nn. Oliver is cute too. DH just threw out Landon but it's too popular for me.

Lopes--that's what I've said to DH about Cooper too. I kind of really like it because "Coop" is such a fun nickname but I don't know. I like Eli. Maybe we skip Elijah.

Keep them coming girls--you've given me some new ones to consider!

Since the other 2 have presidential names, I say stick with that. I like Grant and Taylor.

Griffin and Charlie were both on my name list with DS! I love them both!

Nope. I have the screen name Gipper because my dd's name is Reagan and Ronald Reagan was called The Gipper. Creative, huh? lol

Last name starts with an "M".

Grant is great but my husband's name is Brant. Can't do it.

I like Harrison. Had an uncle named Harrison. I think it's very distinguished. I'm not wild about Harry. It sounds like an old man name.

Harrison is not awful, but my initial reaction is 'Dexter'. His TV son is named that.

I think I like it.

I love Charles, but if you want to stick with the president theme, I like Calvin, Franklin and Harrison. Just don't choose Grover because that's just mean!

There are a bunch that wouldn't very nice! Ha!

The weird thing is that we chose the name Lincoln before we ever got married. Then found out we were having a girl and the ONLY name we could agree on was Reagan. Fast forward 3 years and we're having a boy. I was dead set against Lincoln because I don't like "sib set" names and themes. But it grew on me and we never found another one we could agree upon. So our theme wasn't on purpose--which is why I don't have to stick with it.

Love William and like Miles. DH just suggested Miller.

I like the theme of presidents or historical figures. I like Franklin, Harrison, Jefferson, Edison, and Grant. Not so sure I like some of the nicknames though (Frankie, Harry) but maybe they could grow on me.

I vote for keeping the presidential theme.. it's a cute idea!

For names, I'm partial to Charles or Charlie (but that's probably because I was thinking about that name for a boy for myself lol)

I like Harrison, and when I think of Harry I think of Prince William and Harry. So take that FWIW.

I can't wait to find out what you and YH decide on!

what about Quinn? it could be a shortened version of Quincy ala John Quincy Adams. i'll also throw my sons name out, Parker. it fits the last name as a first name theme you've got going.

I like Franklin and Harrison (though he was only president for a hot minute). Here's one no one has suggested yet...Wilson. And how about Adam (as in Adams)?
