What to wear to MH's Xmas party???

MH works for a start up website, and there will be 8 people total at the dinner ?party-- at the home of the company's angel investor.

?Except for the investor, we are the oldest couple by 3-5 years.

?I think I am going to go to Banana and Gap and get separates-- I am thinking a black skirt and some kind of silk or satin dressy top. ?Black heels. ?Sounds boring, though. ?Suggestions?

    how about a fun holiday dress? BR has some cute ones. plus--you can always dress it up with accessories! :) ?have fun!

    Well, I'd probably do funky patterned tights (like herringbone maybe) and platform shoes like these:

    I'd probably also do a pencil skirt and a top that has ruffles on it.  Like this top from JCrew:
