Maternity clothes

Wondering where others have purchased maternity clothes? I've purchased a few plain t's from gap and old navy. Any others that are fashionable and not too expensive?

I've only purchased from Old Navy online, but I looked and Gap had a few cute things yesterday that were fairly reasonable. I LOVE what Pea in the Pod has, but won't be buying too much from there just because it's so expensive.

Target's Liz Lange collection usually has cute pieces in it and Kohls had Maternity Jeans onsale the last time I was looking for like $11.00. I should have bought some.

I got most of mine at boutiques in London and at topshop. We only have 2 stores here in Italy. H&M and this weird Italian maternity store. I wish Europe had the stores that north America has.

I like old navy for tops and I order online. Their sizing is relatively consistent. I'm a 6-8 pre-preg the small tops are usually perfect. I can't stand their pants, though. I bought jeans at motherhood last time and loved them. I got some capris at kohls last week and they're really cute. I also got some non-maternity skirts at target recently (on clearance!) that are linen, lined and have a drawstring waist. The long and lean tanks in the juniors dept are REALLY long and perfect. (IMO, target maternity is way overpriced). That should hold me over until fall, at which point I'll be able to wear my warmer maternity stuff from last time.

Motherhood Maternity for pants (the only place I could find maternity jeans that fit correctly)

and I bought 1 shirt from the Target maternity line.

Out of all of the places above I would say Old Navy is the least expensive if you shop online in the clearance section you can find some great deals.

I just got a pretty maternity dress from Target.

I have a weakness for homemade skirts made from pretty quilters cotton and some of the ones I have sewn have elastic waist and should sit throughout the pregnancy so my plan is to make some more but slightly longer since I know as my belly expands they will get shorter. So if you sew that is something to consider. I can make a skirt that will fit through pregnancy and after for less then $20, and they are pretty. If I go to joanns with coupons I can even make one for $10!

I hope I can find a few pretty shirts at motherhood maternity or pickles and ice cream (a local maternity store) because I am not a fan of Targets maternity shirts. Shirts to go with my stretchy skirts are really what I need. I want to look at pea in the pod but they really are expensive and I just can't spend much money on maternity.

With my son I made my homemade skirts and high wasted dresses work and I will do that again I am sure. Getting a good pair of maternity leggings can save you money by making your current dresses work! My favorite short red dress looked great over leggings with my DS, but without those tights I could not have made it work. Shopping your own closet is always good and reworking things with long tanks and leggings to expand your wardrobe.

I just went to Motherhood. I had never been in the store before, and it's location in my town made me think it would be super expensive, it totally wasn't. It was high quality crap, but affordable.
