Re: --**Beach Bums Check In**--
Hey gals! Hope everyone is having a great week! GL to ShelleyBQ with your upcoming transfer!
I triggered last night and have my ER scheduled for bright and early Wednesday morning (our anniversary!).
QOTD: Loving the Olympics! I love watching Swimming, Gymnastics, and Synchronized Swimming. I think my favorite athletes of the games are Gabby Douglas and Missy Franklin. Go USA!
Update: I start lupron today in addition to BCPs. Adding injections makes me feel like we are really doing this!
LOVING the OLYMPICS!
Praying unceasingly for a miracle. ALL welcome!
Hey Beach Bums! Might it be okay if I move on over here from the July Sparklers??? Due to a very slowly rising E2 that threatened cancellation on a nearly daily basis, I stimmed longer than anticipated (12 days versus 8 in the past). This has bumped me to an 8/1 ER and, if we make it, an 8/4 ET.
I feel like I'm going to be flying solo over in the Sparklers very soon and I learned from my last IVF that these check-ins are a huge support after ER/ET. (in turn, I'm also excited to support fellow Beach Bums)
My history is in my siggie, but we're a double whammy of IF diagnoses (obstructive azoospermia for him and DOR for me)...I feel like natural selection might be trying to tell us something! This is IVF/ICSI attempt #3 for us, after a missed miscarriage from attempt #2.
Sending out lots of good luck to you all!
QOTD: I've been watching a bit -- mostly swimming, gymnastics, and volleyball. However, I'm more a fan of the Winter Olympics...that's when I get hooked and cheer on specific athletes.
Me: 39, Dx DOR (FSH = 10.5, AMH = 0.43, best AFC = 10), AMA
MH: 37, Dx Obstructive Azoospermia, multiple successful sperm retrieval procedures
2/2012: IVF/ICSI #2 MDLF (4R, 4M, 1F) = BFP, saw heartbeat, missed m/c 9w0d, D&E
8/2012: IVF/ICSI #3 EPP/MDLF (7R, 2M, 1F) = BFN
12/2012: (New RE) Operative hysteroscopy to remove scar tissue
1/2013: IVF/ICSI #4 Low-dose stim/Antagonist (AFC=6); ER=1/26 (5R-couldn't access rt ovary, 5M, 4F), ET=1/29 (trans 3) = BFP!; 2/11 beta#1(13dp3dt)=2127, 2/13=3367; twin girls due 10/19/13
PAIF/SAIF very welcome!

Hello fellow Beach Bums. Good luck to everyone!
I started my first injections of Microdose Lupron yesterday and will be adding in my stims tomorrow. I was SO freakin' nervous to start injections on myself that I barely slept on Sunday night. Once I finally did them, I couldn't believe how much I had stressed myself out for nothing. I am hoping the stims are as easy. AF decided to show up randomly today, but the nurse says it's fine. I expected AF this weekend, but not this late in the game.
QOTD: Are you watching the Olympics? Do you have a favorite sport and/or athlete in the summer games?
I'll admit I'm not watchnig a whole lot of the Olympics. Not by intention or anything, but I have been getting home from work late, making dinner, then just going to bed this week.

Hi all! Welcome Joules, we're glad to have you join us.
I'm waiting on the call tomorrow morning to see if we transfer tomorrow or Friday. I'm just hoping my six embryos are doing well over in the lab right now!
QOTW: I've been watching a bit of the olympics. I am a big women's basketball fan, and my team (UConn Huskies) is heavily represented on the USA Women's team (6 former players and the coach is UConn's head coach) so I'm definitely watching all those games.

I started stimms on Thursday and had my first monitoring visit yesterday. Everything looks good and I have some follies brewing! I go back on Thursday. Dont have a date for ER/ET but I'm thinking it might be mid next week. I'm feeling pretty good but am anticipating the dreaded bloat any day now.
I love watching the Olympics! I loved the diving and swimming last night. My fave athletes are Gabby Douglas and the swimmer Brendan Hansen (he's from the town I live in - so gotta cheer for the hometown guy)!
Hello,
I'm a newbie here. This is our first IVF and we have ER tomorrow and ET on Friday. We are nervous and excited and full of hope.
QOTW: Swimming has always been my favorite to watch.
Sending lots of follicle growing vibes to all those now stimming! Looks like there are a bunch of us now!!
Also, good luck to Joules and Penny on ER tomorrow! We'll be thinking about you, so don't forget to update us!
As for me, I started micro-dose lupron on Saturday and added stims on Monday. So far, so good with the injects. Hoping for lots of follies developing at first monitoring appointment on Friday!
QOTD: We're all about the Olympics at my house. It's pretty much the only thing we'll talk about for the next two weeks! We especially love swimming, gymnastics, and diving. I'll be so sad when they're over . The only consolation is that football season is just around the corner!
Waiting on my call. 99% chance I'm triggering tonight for ER Thursday 8/2. EKK!
QOTD: I've been watching the Olympics. Loving the UF grads! My favorites are swimming, diving, and gymnastics.
I can't believe tomorrow is August 1--WE HAVE ARRIVED! Good luck to everyone wherever you are in the process!
Update: I had my 2nd monitoring appointment yesterday after 5 days of stims. I had 3 follies >10 on the right (+ 5 smaller ones) and 1 follie >10 on the left (+ 3 smaller ones). This morning I added the Cetrotide and will go back tomorrow morning for another monitoring appointment. I definitely feel bloated and slightly uncomfortable today.
QOTD: I love watching swimming, gymnastics, diving and of course BEACH volleyball! I haven't been watching them as much as I would like, but I'm sure I'll see plenty next week as I am laying around between ER and ET.
TTC since 10/2010
IUIs # 1-5 = BFFN
IVF # 1(July 2012) = BFN
IVF # 2 (November 2012) = BFP (MIssed MC D&C @ 8w3d on 1/10/13)
I'm on day 2 of stims. Have my first scan/draw appt. tomorrow morning. So far it's not too bad though that Repronex shot left a pretty nasty welt under the skin--but nothing I can't hack. And right now I am continuing to hit the gym while I'm still feeling good. Overall, I'm in a great mental space now that we're finally to the stim stage.
As for the Olympics: Big fan, and love lots of the events, but probably most amazed/impressed by gymnastics.
IUI #1 March: BFN, IUI #2 April: BFN.
IVF #1: Started stims 7/30--CANCELLED.
IVF #1.2: Stims start 10/8/12, ER: 10/20/12; 11R/8M/4F, 5DT: 10/25/12, transfer of a 4AA and 3AB Blast. BFP on HPT 10/31/12; Beta #1: (16 DPO) 954! Beta #2: (18 DPO) 1968! First U/S: TWINS!! A/S: TWO BOYS! EDD: 7/13/13
PAIF/SAIF Always Welcome.
Just got the call. I trigger tonight and ER is scheduled for Thursday am! I have at least 16 mature follies this time around! IVF #3 is going to work!
I hope everyone is doing well and I'm sending good vibes to all.!
That is great! Good luck at your ER!!!

Hi all. I got my PGD results this week and have 2 good embryos waiting for me. I go in on Saturday to start up my FET cycle. Looks like transfer might be Sept 5...so most of you may be bypassing me and I might have to jump to the Sept board, but I'd love to hang around if I can while I'm going through the meds for the FET, if you don't mind. I'll be going off BCPs around 8/9.
Haven't watched a thing about the Olympics yet.

Hello to everyone...
I finshed up BCP on Monday and went for BW and ultrasound yesterday. We have the green light to start stimms on Friday.
I also have to do a med they call solution X. Anyone else heard of this?
I love the Olympics and try to keep up with most of it but my favorites are swimming, gymnastics and tennis.
I started my stims Monday the 30th....they have me on double my previous dose (so 2X/day) Today I am beat...I feel so extremely tired, like I got hit by a bus. My ER should be sometime the end of next week.
QOTD: Are you watching the Olympics? Do you have a favorite sport and/or athlete in the summer games? I have not been watching. When I do though I like to watch gymnastics.
