Baby is here - 6 weeks early!

Thought I would share my story!

This is a little long- but the moral of the story is - call your doc if you aren't feeling right - even this early - you could be in labor! I almost had the baby in the car!!

Due date was 9/11 - baby boy (team green) was not having it - he was ready to come 6 weeks early!

At about  2am I woke up to a cramp and my water breaking! Woke my husband and we quick threw some items in a bag and left for the hospital. By the time we were halfway here (hospital about 20 minutes from the house) I was having contractions a minute apart! Got to the hospital at 3:20 and Zachary was in my arms at 3:45!! Phew - soooo close!!

I think the nurses thought I was over reacting to the pain when I got here because no one was in a real rush to check me or anything. After having a severe desire to push through a contraction, I had DH get the doctor. He came in took one look and said - OK, there is the head! I said - OK time for drugs, he said - sorry honey, you aren't getting any drugs, you are having this baby in 10 minutes!! WTF!!!

So, into the world he came, totally natural - which was not at all my plan - but it all happened so fast that it didn't even matter!

Little Zach is doing good. He is in the NICU at 5lbs 5oz but doing pretty good. They are just monitoring his breathing and have him on a CPap machine, but he is getting better and better!

Good luck to all you September ladies - my September ended up being July!! Still in total shock! :)
