waiting 6+ months

As I was reading through the waiting to adopt check in, I noticed that we a lot of people are in the beginning stages of research and homestudies.  How many of us have been waiting a while?  Let's say, more than 6 months.

for us August begins are 10th month of waiting :(

    We're still waiting.  Just updated our homestudy and submitted our yearly background checks last week.

     Ugh.  We're about to renew ours, and it feels like such a fail.  We went into this so hopeful our wait would be short.
