I've had some pregnancy symptoms alot lately and I am really hoping its true!!!

Just had to get that out there.. Its been 6 years since we have used any protection, we just got married recently so we are going to give it a few months then if nothing, seek medical help..

Maybe God has something in store for us this month... We will see.

But, my next question is, I have had my period July 18-22, so should I be feeling anything yet if I were pregnant? Mad heart burn (which I never get) , weird aches and cramping, very tired...

I know you guys aren't medical experts and I know I will be told everyone is different but just wondering if anyone has had early symptoms like this? To me it sounds odd...

There is no way you are pregnant right now if your period started on the 18th. Usually, you don't feel symptoms until at least 5-7DPO because implantation doesn't happen before then.

You can't get pregnant until you ovulate. You're on CD11 so you potentially could be ovulating soon which is why you have these "pregnancy" symptoms.

Regardless, implantation doesn't occur till about week or more after you ovulate so in case you don't get the general direction of this -- NO. You are not pregnant.

No it doesn't--not if your timing has been crappy.

I'm pretty sure stranger things happen, but no one would find out they were pregnant on day 11 of their cycle. Sorry Charlie

There's nothing strange about TTC. You have to ovulate in order to be pregnant.

You are full of sh!t. Not using protection when you don't want a baby isn't "trying", its just you being lazy and dumb. Maaaybe you can claim 3 years, but I'm adding an "extra" to my prior dumb comment, because people can get college degrees in less time than that, you should have at least been able to figure out ovulation.

We are snarky with dumbass post like this because we have taken the time to educate OURSELVES about a life changing decision. I suggest you do the same. A good doctor isn't going to help you if you have no proof that you have been trying hence the reason for charting. You could be missing your window completely, FFS! My last period started July 18th as well and I haven't even ovulated yet. That was only 10 days ago. I'm not sure it's even possible. I know we are all different but I'd say it's highly unlikely you are pregnant and may not have even ovulated yet.

Thats one thing and understandable. Awhile back there was epic MUD that said she got fired because TTC took control of her life and she was peeing in cups at work and saving them in her cube, took take home and test with later on. It was insane.

OKAY, ladies let's calm down for a minute. I'm sure most, if not all of you, took Sex Education in High School. AND if you did, then you should be WELL aware of the fact that a woman CAN become pregnant EVEN during her period! You can becomepregnant at ANY POINT during the month. THEREFORE, do not INSIST that someone cannot be pregnant because her sacred ovulation chart doesn't indicate she is ovulating yet....That's cr*p, and I think we all know that deep down! No reason to respond so abruptly about it, and make it seem that if a woman doesn't have sex on her 2 ovulation days, based on this chart, then she can't try to get pregnant until the following month! Seriously? C'MON!

No, I'm not, thank you. I think most of the women on this board are crabby and constantly snapping at those who are simply asking for opinions or advice....it's just so disturbing for me to watch how these women answer questions like they have all the answers...or that the person who is asking for help is completely an id*ot about the ins/outs of pregnancy...when in reality, some of the other people on these boards strike me as the ones who need some pregnancy education!

No, a woman can ovulate during her menstrual cycle. What is the matter with these ppl on this board? They all flunked the easiest class in high school, sex education? Seriously?! A woman can become pregnant during her regular PERIOD! It is not often, or common, but it can happen, so people shouldn't insist it is impossible!

I highly recommend that you read "Taking Charge of Your Fertility".

Whatever...ALL I'm saying is a woman CAN BECOME pregnant at any point during the month....charting, ovulation tests, basal body temperature tests, etc., are not all 100% perfect...sometimes, it can happen when it happens at any time. That is all...those fertility books, or whatever you call them, can say anything they want b/c they are trying to help you have the HIGHEST likelihood of conceiving. However, it doesn't mean that you cannot conceive other times than that 48 window during the month. Geez, NO one can even admit that there is the chance of it happening...all they do is say how stupid I look for thinking this way (even when medical books prove I'm right), and that I should read some fertility books? Wow...

Your soapbox is broken.

You cannot ovulate while you are having your period simultaneously. It is extremely rare where a woman could ovulate immediately after her period ended - and if she had sex during her period the sperm could still be alive/viable in the days following intercourse.

Example:

CD 1-5 = period

Sex on CD 4

Ovulation on CD 6

It's possible but highly unlikely.

It has happened before. So to insist that a woman can't be pregnant b/c she only had her period 10 days ago, and she couldn't have ovulated yet, is ABSURD!

So, everyone needs to get off their soapboxes, and get over yourselves....it's so ridiculous how people act on these boards....I was defending the author, and criticizing the comments from others how they're certain she's not pregnant! They have no business doing so!

The delay we are experiencing is because there are a LOT of Yahoo Answers posts to go through to find the answer.

Exactly. I should clarify that the proof can't come from webmd or wikipedia. It must be sourced and linkable for us to read. After that I will personally drive a thousand miles to kiss your a$$.

can you get pregnant/ovulate during your period?, YES, but is it common/likely to happen?, probably not. And if any of you knew anything about law, you'd realize that if there is a shadow of a doubt in anyone's mind, then you have to pronounce the person 'not guilty'. THEREFORE, I did not say it happens every stinkin' time. I just said IT COULD happen. So, get off my back about it, already, and stop being so cranky...just keep charting your ovulation as I'm sure it is what works best for you. Go for it! And good luck! Stop saying how 'dumb' I sound simply b/c I argued the fact that women CAN become pregnant at any point during the month. That's all!
