My OB ordered an abdominal binder for me after my cesarean on wednesday. I feel far better this time than I did last. I think it's definitely helping me recover and helping my uterus shrink down.

I had a c-section and so I came home with the hospital binder. Toward the end of my pregnancy I bought a belly bandit.
I think that a lot of the efficacy of either binder would have to do with your pre-pregnancy body type. I have always had a smaller, higher natural waist and larger hips. The hospital binder was very elastic-y but would kind of stretch out and didn't give as much abdominal support as the belly bandit. But the belly bandit was much stronger and would make me feel like I could breathe better!
My biggest complaint about the belly bandit, as someone with larger hips, is that I could never get it angled right due to its band width...it would always have a lot of gapping at the top because I couldn't get the velcro strip angled far enough to really fit me. If you have a smaller hip to waist ratio it might fit you better!
I ordered the bb but returned it bc I hated the material and was afraid of where it would hit on me. I ordered a bellefit today, which was twice as expensive, but looks much more like what I will want.

I used both this and the hospital binder. I actually preferred the one feom the hospital. It might just be my body type, but I would recommend using one or the other. It TOTALLY helped shrink me back very quickly. Additionally, I had a C-Section, so it gave me extra support when I moved around that made me much more comfortable.
