update to ER

well the news is poor! I had 6 follicles at last u/s and a word of caution from the RE regarding ER being difficult.....Well we drive hours away and get the ER last night. I endured a huge amount of pain despite the drugs that were supposed to make me "high" and sleepy.....well I didn't feel like the drugs even did a damn thing for the pain. I might as well have had a baby asprin!!!! Today Iam fine until I stand up or go pee. The sad news is that the RE only could find ONE of the six....yup ONE! Im still waiting on the fert report. I do believe that I ovulated early and that is why the follies were MIA. Yes it only takes one but the odds are not in our favor! I m sad and trying to come to terms with the end!!! I have not had my mental break yet......

Trying to keep "Thankful Thursday" in my mind. Im thankful that I have a loving husband to share the rest of my life with.

I'm so sorry. That sounds awful, and is completely unfair. I hope your one fertilizes normally and grows into a sticky embryo for you. Hugs.

That does sound awlful. I have my fingers crossed for you that this one and only becomes your take home baby.

I know it's tough decision to know when you had enough, but I think if you can determine for sure that you ovulated before retrievel, you should give yourself another chance. I know I can't come to closure until I feel like nothing hindered my chance.

Were you awake for the ER or in pain post-ER? I had pain after ER#3 and it turned out that a blood vessel was nicked during the ER and I had a hematoma in my ute. It hurt for weeks.
