I am going to be semi vague on this one, I just want to throat punch my MIL. She has been driving me more and more nuts lately. DH asked her if we could have a party at her house on Sunday. She has a pool and the space for it. She knows we are tight on money, but I Told her I was going to make some decorations and dessert. She went behind my back and bought the decorations after I specifically told her I was making them. She also went above my head, right in front of me on the dessert. I am fuming! She constantly does this to us. DH told me to make a specific dessert his mama used to make (MIL is his step mom, his mama has passed). His step mom won't make this dessert because she doesn't know how.

On another note, they were over for dinner last night and I made dinner, southern style BBQ ribs in the crockpot, I made the sauce myself. And my FIL loved them. Take that MIL! He has been trying to get her to make them the way I do and she refuses.

Where should I start...

Ok, I want to throat punch the recycling truck guys, they showed up at 630 this morning, when they aren't supposed to show up till 8am. Usually DH and I leave for work well before then, but I was up half the night, so we got a much later start than usual. So our recycling bin is full, and we now have to wait till next Thursday.

DH's truck (ok, I know a truck doesn't have a throat, but oh well), the brakes decide today is the day to start grinding, and not just when the brakes are applied, but all the time. So I called my dad and asked to borrow his truck so we can go to work. DH is going to call our mechanic today (I hope this isn't his week during the summer that he takes vacation), and hope he can get us in tonight, and work on it tomorrow. If he's on vacation, we may have to call somewhere else, and I hate that idea.

Thompson Hyundai because my car STILL ISN'T FIXED!!! Itw as supposed to be done last Thursday, but apparently the machine shop screwed up, and the head had to be sent out again. They told me it would be done Monday, I call, nope not till Thursday at the earliest. But they told me they would try to get me a rental. I call Tuesday, and supposedly the guy to aproves rentals is on vacation (and apparently no one can fill in for him, I call b.s.). And I caught the guy in a lie, he told me Thursday they were sending it out, Tuesday when I called, they said well we sent it out yesterday, and I interrupted him and said I thought it was going to be sent out Thursday when I spole to you...he studdered and said, yeah um, we did. And we should have it done Thursday. I called yesterday, and he said the part still hasn't come in and they don't know when it's going to be done.

So now, my car still isn't fixed, and now DH's car isn't working. Today I am making some phone calls. Either my car is fixed today, or I get a rental till it's done. And if they can't, I'll call corporate again, and go off. It worked last time.

I took the day off and am trying to be lazy and relax. I just woke up from a little nap to this text message from my mom:

"Goodmorning. I'm watching the news and it says pregnant women should keep cell phones away from their abdomen and head. Basically keep them away from your body. Use headphones, etc."

Really?! Well good, bc I'M NOT PREGNANT ANYWAY!

The bride for the wedding I'm in in August for 1) sending an email detailing what we can/cannot/are expected to wear to her Bachelorette party 2) refusing to register at a place convienent to those living in the groom's hometown. Is Target really that below you?! 3) Insisting my girls wear tights down the aisle for her outdoor wedding when it will probably be 100+ degrees out. The list goes on.

I'm gonna go ahead and give a pre-throat punch ahead of time to my good old gma. (Yes I'm throat punching a 79 year old woman). We are seeing her and my family tonight, many whom have not yet met my FI even though we've been together for 3 1/2 years. Gma is included on that list. I'm dreading this meeting. She is very mean and judgmental. When she found out I was pg, she was very mean about it repeatedly and openly. Then when we got engaged, she was mean again, and stated that she thought there would probably never be a wedding. Supposedly after the m/c (she sent flowers), she has taken it back, and feels bad about everything she said. But I'm still really pissed at her about it, and am dreading, like I said, this meeting up tonight. Wish me luck. Ugh.

"well on the birght side you probably won't be pregnant for my wedding so we don't have to worry about that." REALLY?!!!!!! I left her house and went home without another word...she has been texting me all night asking what was wrong.

That is horrible... seriously a horrible response. Sounds like she is completely wrapped up in her own world right now. Did you tell her how much that upset you??

That is horrible... seriously a horrible response. Sounds like she is completely wrapped up in her own world right now. Did you tell her how much that upset you??

I said "wow" and literally got up from the couch grabbed my puse and left without saying another word. She texted me a dozen times last night asking what she had done....I finally emailed her today ( I can't call her I am too mad) and explained from my side what she said...She replied that she was sorry and had not thought of it that way but that I overreacted by leaving...so I am just staying silent....going to take some time to get the stinger out of that one. A simple "sorry that sucks" would have been an easy solution. My husband is soo angry with her as I was finally up to going back out and facing the world...she took me three steps back.

I can't believe someone would say that, for one thing, and secondly, that she would presume to tell you how you should be reacting to her stupid comment. I'd go ahead and tell her I look forward to the day she can learn to be more sensitive about the event of losing your child, and that I hope her wedding is a blast without me. That would be a dealbreaker for me--for sure.

I would like to throat punch the car dealership that fixed my car today...I am now $1900 poorer and paid $114 dollars for them to look at my sunroof that rattles constantly and is the top complaint on BMW's website for the year/model of my car and they tell me that they "couldn't find anything wrong with it". Really?

I totally agree. I say you wait until a week before the wedding and then write her an email saying you won't be coming and for her to have a great wedding. But that's just me being hateful...

Your friend is acting like a b!tch, and you did not overreact. She is a crazy person. I wish comments like hers were rarer than they are. ((hugs)). Don't let her set you back! She is an idiot and completely irrelevant. I know (from experience) that those comments hurt, but anyone dumb enough to say that sh!t should be relegated to a corner and ignored. I agree with PPs. I think I would step out of her wedding. There is no need to subject yourself to that.
