If we have another boy, we'll probably go pick out a brand new outfit for LO to come home in. We kept all of DS's stuff, so for another boy we don't need anything. If we're having a girl (as everyone we know seems to think) we'll probably get the outfit and a 'baby's first teddy' in girl colours (hopefully not pink though! I'm a purple kind of mama).
If its a girl i will run out and buy all purple things its my favorite color i'm not a pink person at all! I will purchase a few items til my shower small things bottles..pacifiers..diapers..&few clothes just to be on the safe side incase i go into labor early before my babyshower!
It is funny because I am so anxious to find out the sex because I want to go shopping......but now that I think about it I have no idea what I want to shop for that requires a specific sex haha. Sometimes I see great deals on clothes that I would need to wait to know the sex for...but most everything else will probably be pretty gender neutral.

DH and I will probably go out and buy an outfit after the a/s. We won't buy any big ticket items yet because we know there are family members that are planning to buy them for us. Everything on our registry will be things that we will purchase if necessary and are priced so we would be comfortable buying them.

I know it's kinda wierd, but I think the first thing I'll go out and buy will be some material lol. I'm pretty new to sewing but I found a tutorial to make a bed skirt and it looks easy enough that even I could do it. I've been frustrated trying to come up with bedding as it doesn't make sense to me to buy a bedding set and not use the bumper or blanket so I figure if I can make the skirt I can just get sheets to match. I also found some other neat sewing ideas (boppy cover, nuring cover and spit up rags), but I think I'll try the skirt first and if it goes well maybe I'll try some of the other things.
We wont really be registering for much of anything as we got everything last time around so other than a few odds and ends that we either never got or didn't think of last time we don't really need anything. If it's a girl this time we'll also need clothes, but I'm sure family will get us some clothes since there isn't anything else to get and we wont need to have too many clothes right away. I can always go to goodwill or somewhere like that to get some cute clothes for cheap to round out a wardrobe.
i totally want to start on some sewing projects..im very much a diy person and those projects take time so the sooner i can get started the better! its been killing me not to buy anything or start making anything... they gave us a guess of the sex at the nt scan but my tech wasnt very convincing so im scared to go forward without a more definitive answer.
i figure for the registry ill go for the basic baby items and then spend my money on all the decor for the nursery and homemade items that i know others cant make and/or are to expensive to buy ( crocheted afghans, quilts, etc)..if its a girl we have almost everything from my own childhood and im hoping most of it wont be terribly out of style or unsafe but i wont know til i raid the stash later this year
We will probably buy a few cute little outfits and maybe a few gender specific things for the nursery like crib sheets and changing pad covers. All of the big tickets items like strollers, car seats, high chairs and so forth will be gender neutral and we'll register for them.

Probably all of this.. but in pink!
This. And I am also a pink person. There is just not much that I need other than a double stroller, and I am waiting until I get back to the States for that.
We always go out and buy an outfit, usually the going home outfit. With my first we went and registered after finding out the sex. Since we are team green this time I am hoping to find a boy and girl going home outfit and wait and have someone wash the appropriate one when the baby is born.
We are doing a completely gender nursery room for the new baby, so I could start buying that stuff now (even though I won't - we wait until the a/s to buy anything). So I don't know what I will run out and buy. If it's a boy, I can think of NOTHING. If it's a girl, I might go out and buy an outfit. Nothing exciting.
And no registering here since it's our second.

A double stroller! If it's a girl, something frilly. And probably all my breastfeeding extras. We have everything else, being that my son is only a year.
We were "team green" last time, so our newborn and baby supplies are gender neutral. If it's another boy, I'll probably start going through DS's clothes and figure out what we need. If it's a girl, I'm sure I'll go crazy with clothes and probably buy some swaddling blankets, and smaller girly newborn things.
Either way, I'm hoping it'll be motivation to start working on the nursery --- find some crib sheets we like (not doing a whole set), some prints for the walls, a rug, etc.

We found out yesterday, and will be going out this weekend to pick out paint for the nursery, and I will probably buy a few cute outfits as well. We also will be registering this weekend since our shower is just about a month away.
I don't think there is anything I plan on registering for that I won't buy myself - everything that will go on our registery is things we need - not wants. Only way I see this happening is if DH gets scan gun happy. lol!
I'm sure we'll buy some clothes, I'll buy fabric to make the crib bedding, and we'll go ahead and buy the car seat and bases (which will probably be gender neutral just incase we have number two in the years to come). And we'll buy a stroller, play yard, and other big ticket items or personal items such as a breast pump, etc. My IL's have already expressed they want to buy us a crib (it's their first grandbaby).
We'll put basics on our registeries, some clothing, burp cloths, diaper bags, probably a bouncer or an activity mat, house safety stuff, a baby bath tub, etc. I'm sure the list will get longer the further along I get and realize what we actually do need!

A woman can only knit so many gender-neutral baby things before going crazy. I want to know if I can make the frilly mittens (thumbless, of course) or the not-frilly ones, the dress or the pullover. Plus, I found this awesome pattern on Ravelry for a "Mommy's Little Dalek" jumper...could probably be modified to be little overalls, but it doesn't have the same effect and I'm not sure I'd have the patience to do so. (for those who don't know, Daleks are one race of bad guy alien/robots from Dr. Who, with which DH and I are obsessed)
If its a girl i will run out and buy all purple things its my favorite color i'm not a pink person at all!
This is me! We just found out that we are having a girl and we are doing her nursery purple. Haha, DD#1, her room is purple and aqua...so yeah. Purple is my favorite color, too! I can't wait to buy a coming home outfit!
If it's a boy, I guess I'll probably buy some clothes. I already have a coming home outfit, bc we were Team Green for our first, so we had a coming home outfit for both a boy and a girl. All of our gear is gender neutral, so I think the only thing I'll need is a double stroller, and I want the Space Saver High Chair. Oh, and the minor thing known as a crib. I'll have to buy another one of those. DD won't be ready for a toddler bed yet.
After buying nothing but blues, greens, browns, trucks, sports and anything else boy related, I ran out and bought the frilliest dress I could find with a matching bow and shoes!!!
My aunt (who is the closest thing I have to a mother besides MIL) will be coming down for the u/s where we find out the sex so we'll probably go out to store and buy something cute. I don't want to go crazy with buying stuff that would end up on a registry, but there are a lot of consignment sales coming up in our town this month and one starts the day after this next u/s so I may or may not be able to resist!
I need to clean out the office before buying a bunch of stuff.
CLOTHES! There are so many summer clearance sales going on right now and I am finding so many things that I LOVE! All other items I am going to put on the registry I think.
My goal is to have all the fabrics picked out by the time we find out the sex (some time in Sept most likely) so I'll be ready to order it and start making the bedding. I think I've picked out the fabrics if it's a girl (though I have no idea which patterns to use for what), and just a theme so far if it's a boy (found some awesome decor items, but not fabric).
It usually takes me a while to follow through on making things, which is why I want to get the earliest start on it as possible.

We know the sex and haven't bought anything. We were planing on making the nursery yellow and blue (aquatic theme) regardless of the sex so it didn't affect that.
Really the only impact it has at this point is for my registry. However, I don't plan to put anyting on my registry tha I wouldn't buy myself
DH is really anxious to paint the nursery so we will probably go pick out the paint colour. I will probably get a cute outfit for the baby too. I have been avoiding baby clothing stores because I just feel like it's a waste since I can only look at neutral colours right now so I can't wait to go pink/purple or blue

This. And I am also a pink person. There is just not much that I need other than a double stroller, and I am waiting until I get back to the States for that.
If it's another boy then I won't be running out to buy anything, I will be cleaning out the attic and washing/storing all the clothes.
If it's a girl then I will be going out to get a new blanket and some clothes.
Either way we also need to get a bassinet/sleeper for baby.
Well, technically the first thing I'm going to buy is pandora charms for the moms. That is how we are going to announce the sex of the baby.
Baby related - if it's a boy I won't be buying anything right away and the only planned purchases will be a sit & stand double stroller.
If it's a girl I'm sure clothing will be #1 priority.
