  I did not get thank you gifts for the godparents. I don't think it's necessary, but I'm sure it would be a lovely gesture if that's something you would like to do.

  My dh recently became a godfather and as a gift, his sister gave him a nice picture of his godson in a frame. It wasn't a major gift but very nice and thoughtful:)

  I think it's a nice gesture but not necessary. When my H and I became godparents we did not receive a gift. It was an honor just to be godparents.

  For DS, I gave the godparents a godparent frame with a poem and the date of the baptism with DS's name.

  For DD, I bought them personalized godparent mugs that are filled with different cocoa packets and I plan on putting 1 or 2 liquors in there as well. Her baptism isn't until 8/12 so I'm still working on this.

  Thanks, ladies! I think I am going to have personalized frames made and give it to them after the baptism with a photo from the day. Really appreciate your thoughts!
