Geez ladies! Can we come up with new stuff to talk about? I really enjoyed the GTKY posts that we were doing. Instead, there are umpteen posts a day about how sucky your life is because you can't swaddle your baby anymore, you're trying to get the kid to sleep in the crib, you've gone back to work, and your kid isn't sttn yet! Cry me a freaking river! You've got a BABY!!! What exactly were you expecting?
I just don't get the need for all the complaining and whining that goes on here. Maybe I am clueless because I have a...gasp...easy baby. I think a lot of a baby being easy has to do with how you parent the baby from day one. If you coddle the baby, never let it cry, etc. you're going to end up with a fussy, needy baby!
My baby NEVER wanted to be swaddled, even in the hospital. No matter how tight we wrapped the swaddle, LO would always bust out in about 5 seconds flat.
I also don't see the earth shattering ordeal of transitioning to a crib. LO sleeps in the cradle in our room at night, naps in the crib or pnp, and sometimes we even let LO sleep in the Boppy in the LR chair while we're watching TV. LO sleeps fine in all these places. Lay the kid down and I bet it will sleep!
I am also fed up with the post about going back to work. Yes, it sucks, but I've been back since LO was 6 weeks old. LO is in daycare. I'd much rather spend time at home with my baby, but we can't afford it now. I kind of enjoy the 8 hours I'm at work and know that LO is being cared for and looked after and I don't have to worry about it myself. I guess that makes me a bad mom!
And for the record, I feed my baby 4 ozs of rice cereal every morning and night (and have since LO was 1 mth old), we put Johnson & Johnson baby sunblock on LO when we're outside, LO gets in the pool, we use Johnson & Johnson baby wash, our dog occasionally licks LO and we don't freak out, we cover LO up with a blanket, LO sometimes sleeps on her belly, and we have bumpers in the cradle and crib.
If I was exhausted by baby related posts, I'd probably stop posting on a baby board. Congrats on being a super mom. I love how you think anyone would care if you revealed yourself.
And lol at Tambs lap dog.

Wait. I'm confused. So you're annoyed by all of our threads about babies, think we're all dumb a$$hats, but want to GTK us? If you hate it here so much, then why are you still here? And really, you've never seen PooDanga before? You must be a super important poster here.
You and your perfect baby and your perfect parenting techniques are more than welcome to bugger off a gtk some new people. ANDPLUSALSO if you're so bored of all these topics, start some new interesting threads, you cantankerous, horrible, self-righteous brat.

This world should be used more often in conversational language. Anyone read Carnival of the Animals by John Lithgow? "Each mother was turned into a fussbudget chicken and each father was now a cantankerous ***."
And another thing - does anyone know when nominations for the Nobel Prize awards come out? I'd like to nominate OP for her genius solution to those of us without easy babies. THANK YOU Snarky, the world is a better place now that I know my baby was colicky because I didn't let him cry long enough. Who knew 7 hours was just shy of what he needed to NOT be a needy baby?! In fact, I think you should get nominated under both the scientific AND peace categories for your insight.

Why so ashamed to post on your real name? I feel like if someone is gonna make an AE atleast make one that isn't lame.
Well, I didn't want to ruin my "reputation" by posting under my real name. Not that I actually care, but it's hard to keep up the persona that I've got going on this board if I posted under my real name.
What would you prefer an AE about? Butt sesck? Threesomes? Hookers?
Re: Exhausted w/ swaddling and crib posts!
I wish my computer would post the icon pictures (or whatever they're called!) because I want to give this two thumbs up!
lol at "pominated". like Pie, but such a better word:)
Ha, now we've discovered the secret to shutting down these AE threads- just throw a picture of your adorable little dog in...
