TTC After a Loss

~~~TTA Check-in~~~
Good morning ladies! I hope that you've all had a good week and are ready for the weekend! Any fun plans?
This check-in is for anyone who is TTA, no matter for how long. We have a variety of wait times so please feel free to join. I will be posting this check-in on Friday mornings.
If you are new to the check in, please post a small intro and tell us why you are TTA and for how long.
What is something positive from this past week?
What is the hardest part of your cycle while TTA? Seeing AF, knowing you're ovulating, 2ww (or lack there of), etc.
Does your family interfere and ask questions about your TTC/TTA status?
Biggest frustration/vent of the week (doesn't have to be TTA related)?
QOTD: How old were you when you got married? If you're not married, how old do you think you'll be?
Below is the TTA list. Please let me know if you would like to be added or if your information is incorrect.
Re: ~~~TTA Check-in~~~
  • I'm doing alright. AF showed yesterday so that always makes me feel worse than normal. I don't really have any plans for the weekend though so that's nice.
    What is something positive from this past week? I went to my first appointment with a new counsellor and it went really well. I like her and I think she will be helpful.
    What is the hardest part of your cycle while TTA? Seeing AF, knowing you're ovulating, 2ww (or lack there of), etc. Knowing I'm fertile. I hate that we have to use condoms and it's just another reminder that we can't try. Knowing that if we weren't TTA we'd have a chance at conceiving... it's just hard.
    Does your family interfere and ask questions about your TTC/TTA status? Not really. Occasionally my mom will bring it up casually and I'll just mention that we're still TTA until I'm feeling better.
    Biggest frustration/vent of the week (doesn't have to be TTA related)? My dog chewing up my fun package from my sister. I was so mad at her. At least it wasn't all ruined but still. Also, I'm frustrated with an idiot friend who left her husband and is being so selfish and horrible. The whole situation just makes my blood boil.
    QOTD: How old were you when you got married? If you're not married, how old do you think you'll be?
    I was just a young thing, I was 19.
    What is something positive from this past week?
    I O'ed (hopefully). Which, FX, means that I should see AF first week of Aug sometime. then we can start TTC FINALLY.
    What is the hardest part of your cycle while TTA? Seeing AF, knowing you're ovulating, 2ww (or lack there of), etc.
    This month was the lack of sex...lol. Between surgery and avoiding sex during fertile window, we haven't had much action in the bedroom! In general, I'm starting to find it hard seeing all these newbies graduating when I'm not even past my first hurdle yet.
    Does your family interfere and ask questions about your TTC/TTA status?
    Not really, they ask how I'm doing, but that's about it.
    Biggest frustration/vent of the week (doesn't have to be TTA related)?
    We're spending about $10,000 all at once on getting our basement finished. That definately hurts the bank account, plus it means we're going to be super busy. We've been working on it every night after work until about 10pm....I'm so tired!
    QOTD: How old were you when you got married? If you're not married, how old do you think you'll be?
    I was 29 (turned 30 the month after).
    BFP #1: 12/26/11, EDD 09/05/12; m/c discovered: 02/22/12 @ 12w u/s,
    D&C: 03/08/12 Waited for AF for 146 long days!
    Hello loves!  Hope everyone is well!
    jenn0021, thanks again for doing these check ins!  It really helps to have this while TTA!
    What is something positive from this past week? I get to leave early from work today!!  Woo!  And it's pay day!
    What is the hardest part of your cycle while TTA? Seeing AF, knowing you're ovulating, 2ww (or lack there of), etc.  I haven't started charting again or doing OPKs just yet since I'm on BCP.  But I will go off of them the beginning of next month and monitor my cycle until September.  So right now, it's still just waiting.
    Does your family interfere and ask questions about your TTC/TTA status? No, they think I'm TTA until October and I'm not going to tell them any differently :)
    Biggest frustration/vent of the week (doesn't have to be TTA related)?  Work is killing me this week.  Been super busy, hating my boss, hating the nurses I work with.  Just an aggravating week over all.  Still putting in for more jobs though!  So, looking forward to hearing from something!
    QOTD: How old were you when you got married? If you're not married, how old do you think you'll be? I was 23 and DH was 26.  Now I'm 26 and he's almost 30.  My friends are all kind of in a panic (and my sister too) because they are all 22-24 and freaking out that they aren't even engaged/in a serious relationship and I was married by 23.  They'll work it out though, it comes for everyone at their own time!
    It's my pleasure to do this check-in. I know TTA is hard and we can use all the support we can get. Your positives of the week are awesome! Yesterday was pay day for me but I don't get to leave early, so I'm jealous of you. Have fun!
    I'm sorry that work is so crappy. I get that some weeks are harder and more frustrating than others. Hopefully a new perfect job comes up for you soon.
    What is something positive from this past week?
    I finally stopped spotting!
    What is the hardest part of your cycle while TTA? Seeing AF, knowing you're ovulating, 2ww (or lack there of), etc.
    Right now the hardest part is waiting... waiting for my first AF post m/c.  Keep staring at the calendar wishing time would move faster!
    Does your family interfere and ask questions about your TTC/TTA status?
    They don't really ask questions, but I volunteer up the info a lot so it's not like they have a chance to ask :)
    Biggest frustration/vent of the week (doesn't have to be TTA related)?
    this HEAT.  I am so sick of it and just ready for it to be Fall.
    QOTD: How old were you when you got married? If you're not married, how old do you think you'll be?
    I was 27.
    I get the frustration of seeing newbies graduate while we're still stuck. It's hard. I can't wait for you to be back to TTC and get to see you graduate. Smile
    You guys are so ambitious! I can't imagine the financial and physical drain of finishing off a basement. Be sure to post pictures on FB later of the whole renovation, I want to see it. I'm very impressed with your mad skills.
    What is something positive from this past week? This was a hard week. I guess just the love and support from friends and family.  What is the hardest part of your cycle while TTA? Seeing AF, knowing you're ovulating, 2ww (or lack there of), etc. Ugh, knowing I'm Oing. All I want to do right now is jump DH!! Does your family interfere and ask questions about your TTC/TTA status? Not really. They know we have to TTA right now. Might change when we are TTC.  Biggest frustration/vent of the week (doesn't have to be TTA related)? Dumb clients! I'll just leave it at that! QOTD: How old were you when you got married? If you're not married, how old do you think you'll be? 26
    I'm sorry that you've had a rough week. Sending you some ((hugs)). I'm glad that you have the support of family and friends to help you through this.
    I agree with being annoyed knowing you are Oing! I too wish that I could jump Dh and just ditch the whole idea of TTA. But I know that would be dumb. Sorry that work sucks and clients are dumb. Hopefully next week will be better.
  • Thanks for the check in jenn!!! Everything has been pretty good this week :)
    What is something positive from this past week?
    We moved into our new house!!!! First time homeowner right here! I took a few days off this past week to organize the place. This weekend my niece and nephew are coming to visit and I'm excited to show them a good time :)
    What is the hardest part of your cycle while TTA? Seeing AF, knowing you're ovulating, 2ww (or lack there of), etc.
    Watching myself (maybe) ovulate but not doing anything about it. It's like throwing away an unscratched lottery ticket -- I will never know what the outcome of that little egg could have been!
    Does your family interfere and ask questions about your TTC/TTA status?
    No thank goodness!!! It's hard enough to be TTA without having to answer to my family!!
    Biggest frustration/vent of the week (doesn't have to be TTA related)?
    I had a lot of work piled on me earlier this week. But nothing I couldn't get past!!
    QOTD: How old were you when you got married? If you're not married, how old do you think you'll be?
    I was 27. It was just over a year ago now!! Dh was also 27, he is almost 3 months younger than me!
  • Missed one! My family doesn't really interfere except being pushy about the wedding, because they know that's what we are waiting for. My BIL wants us to get married two months earlier, and when I was avoiding planning because I was depressed, my mom stated, "I don't get why you would be depressed right now. I'm sorry but it seems like you only wanted to get married because of the baby. I would think you'd want to get married and have a baby with FI very soon." Ugh.
    Welcome to the check-in. Long term TTA is hard, I've been TTA for 18 months now. If you ever need to vent about it, feel free to PM me.
    I'm glad you guys got your new apartment, that is definitely exciting. Will you be moving soon or is it still a bit of a wait? Hopefully you and your FI can agree on a TTA method that you are both comfortable with. Condoms aren't fun though, I'll give him that.
    Thanks for the check in jenn!!! Everything has been pretty good this week :)
    What is something positive from this past week?
    We moved into our new house!!!! First time homeowner right here! I took a few days off this past week to organize the place. This weekend my niece and nephew are coming to visit and I'm excited to show them a good time :)
    What is the hardest part of your cycle while TTA? Seeing AF, knowing you're ovulating, 2ww (or lack there of), etc.
    Watching myself (maybe) ovulate but not doing anything about it. It's like throwing away an unscratched lottery ticket -- I will never know what the outcome of that little egg could have been!
    Does your family interfere and ask questions about your TTC/TTA status?
    No thank goodness!!! It's hard enough to be TTA without having to answer to my family!!
    Biggest frustration/vent of the week (doesn't have to be TTA related)?
    I had a lot of work piled on me earlier this week. But nothing I couldn't get past!!
    QOTD: How old were you when you got married? If you're not married, how old do you think you'll be?
    I was 27. It was just over a year ago now!! Dh was also 27, he is almost 3 months younger than me!
    (sorry for formatting. I'm on my iPad)
    Woot for your new house! Isn't it such an amazing feeling? We bought our first house last summer and it was so great to know that we actually owned it. I hope you have fun decorating and settling in and making it your own. Have fun with your niece and nephew too, I'm sure they'll enjoy it.
    I love how you compared throwing away an egg to throwing away an unused lottery ticket. It's so true. Who knows what that little egg could have become.
    Hey! I'm new to the TTA Check in. I'm TTA for awhile- until next July after our wedding.
    Something positive, even though this has felt like a *** week, is that we got accepted for our new apartment, and we are very excited about it!
    The hardest part for me so far has been the fact that AF has not returned yet!! UGH! Also, the fact that FI constantly tries to tell me "pulling out" will be satisfactory enough instead of condoms.Confused
    Biggest frustration of the week- I am super fed up with my job for so many reasons. It's hard to come here every day.
     I will be 23 Big Smile
    Welcome to the check-in. Long term TTA is hard, I've been TTA for 18 months now. If you ever need to vent about it, feel free to PM me.
    I'm glad you guys got your new apartment, that is definitely exciting. Will you be moving soon or is it still a bit of a wait? Hopefully you and your FI can agree on a TTA method that you are both comfortable with. Condoms aren't fun though, I'll give him that.
    We are moving September 1st.
    Condoms suck. So does TTA. We have never done this before, which is how we got pregnant in the first place. I am also sad about the long term TTA, even though I know it's for the best. I'm worried that the longer we TTA, the further my FI will want to put it off. We are moving downtown this year, as a "last year as a single couple" attempt, to distract ourselves. While we were visiting the new place, he already said, why couldn't we wait 2 years instead of 1? I said, waiting 1 year is hard for me. I can tell this is gonig to become something. I'm very nervous. I know he wants a child, (before we got pg, he wanted one more than me). I think his reactions like this are because he won't face the loss as much. Ugh.
     Hi Ladies!  I don't know if I have ever participated in this before, but I am currently TTA until August/September depending on when my RPL results come back.   What is something positive from this past week? My first AF showed and my body "seems" to be getting back to normal  What is the hardest part of your cycle while TTA? Seeing AF, knowing you're ovulating, 2ww (or lack there of), etc. Charting and knowing we can't do anything around ovulation  Does your family interfere and ask questions about your TTC/TTA status? Not really.  I also told my parents not to ask us questions and that if/when we do get pg again, they will not hear about it until after the 12 week scan  Biggest frustration/vent of the week (doesn't have to be TTA related)? Health Insurance (or lack thereof), & medical bills  QOTD: How old were you when you got married? If you're not married, how old do you think you'll be? I was 29 and DH was 31.  We are oldies.
    You have participated once before but I'm glad you're back. Smile Hopefully your RPL results come in sooner rather than later and they don't carry any bad news.
    Hooray for AF showing up, it's such a great feeling to know that your body is going back to normal. Charting is helpful but also frustrating when TTA, I get it.
    I told my family basically what you told yours. I don't want them questioning me all the time about TTA and TTC. We want to tell them we're pg when we choose, not because they keep asking. Hopefully your family respects your wishes on that.
    Hi gals!
    This weekend is my SIL's bachelorette party and bridal shower, so I'll be busy the whole weekend.  I am actually looking forward to showing someone some attention and celebrating something exciting!
    What is something positive from this past week?  My OB looked at my charts and agreed that I likely have a short LP so she prescribed me Prometrium to take when we TTC again.  I'm relieved to be doing "something" about it next time around, even though I realize that it can absolutely happen again.
    What is the hardest part of your cycle while TTA? Seeing AF, knowing you're ovulating, 2ww (or lack there of), etc.  The hardest part for me is letting the FW pass me by... each month, I feel a little loss each time.
    Does your family interfere and ask questions about your TTC/TTA status?  My Mom is always trying to give me her advice, even when I don't ask for it... I think she wishes we would wait longer, so I probably won't tell her if we get pg again until my first u/s (should we be so blessed to make it there).
    Biggest frustration/vent of the week (doesn't have to be TTA related)?  That some a$$hole kid decided to kill/injure multiple people in Colorado at a movie theater.  So sad.
    QOTD: How old were you when you got married? If you're not married, how old do you think you'll be? I was 24, DH was 25.
    Have fun at the bachelorette party! It's nice to get out and be distracted and get to enjoy yourself.
    I'm glad that your OB is being proactive and already has a plan in place for next time. It's encouraging to know that something will be done differently. Hopefully it works and you do make it to your first u/s and get to tell your mom. Smile
    I agree with you that it's so horrible about the shootings in Colorado. I don't get the world so much of the time. It's so heartbreaking.
    I'm sorry that you now have this added stress. Try not to think about it too much as it will just make this next year be that much harder. You never know where you will both be emotionally next July, he could have a change of heart. But I do get that it's hard to think you may have to wait longer. I never thought we'd be waiting this long but we are and it's okay. Some days I struggle with it more than others though. I hope you enjoy this next year as a couple and living downtown. Enjoy your new apartment!
    Morning Ladies!!   Hope everyone is safe and sound this morning in the wake of the horrible news from Colorado.  Jenn, thanks for doing the check-in, I always look forward to these.  And thanks for changing my TTA info!
    What is something positive from this past week?
    We finally are confirmed that we can move into our new apartment on the 31st instead of having to move out of our current place on the 31st and not into the new one until the 1st.  Hooray for not being homeless for a night with a dog and a toddler (babysitting our nephew)!!
    What is the hardest part of your cycle while TTA? Seeing AF, knowing you're ovulating, 2ww (or lack there of), etc.
    At this point, I'm anxious to make sure my cycle gets back into a rhythm.  I'm on day 11 of bleeding like CD1.  I know this is normal as per my doctor and the face that this is my first PP period, there are no large clots, no soaking through pads in less than an hour and all that jazz, but it's still driving me nuts.  I usually have 3 days of light bleeding, and then it's over.  So this is getting frustrating.  I also haven't been "intimate" with FI for over 2 months which is also frustrating!  I want to be that close with him again, but he refuses while AF is here.  Rawr.
    Does your family interfere and ask questions about your TTC/TTA status?
    I had one friend who asked "why do you want to try again so soon?" but mostly they haven't cared and have been supportive/understanding.  I haven't been overly vocal about it with our family as it's not something that comes up or anything so it hasn't been an issue there.
    Biggest frustration/vent of the week (doesn't have to be TTA related)?
    Biggest frustration this week... had a bit of a WWIII with MIL this week when she expressed her upset over the face that she was not the first one to know that FI and I were engaged (back in May).  It started with her talking to FI about this and him basically telling her it's not about her, suck it up and be happy for us (she has not once said she was happy/congrats, just always going on about how she wasn't the first to know and that makes her sad).  So she asked to talk to me on the phone and I told her the exact same thing.  She can be sad alls he wants, but this is not about her.  This is about him and me and she is being selfish and childish.  Then she got all butthurt and asked to talk to FI again.  Basically he asked her not to call back and hung up on her.  I don't understand some people sometimes.  Ughn.
    QOTD: How old were you when you got married? If you're not married, how old do you think you'll be?
    Some day!  FI and I have been together for over 6 years and are in no rush.  We're more concerned on a house/family.  The wedding can come whenever, or we will just elope somewhere.  I understand that some family members really want a ceremony, but it's just about him and me and (any of/potentially) our children.  So we may elope and have a reception here?  We're not sure.  Not worrying about that right now.
    I'm glad that you got the apartment stuff figured out and won't be homeless for a night. That would have been very stressful. I'm sorry that you are still bleeding, I know how frustrating that can be. After my first loss I bled for 4 weeks straight. While it wasn't enough to go to the ER for, it was still hard to bleed for so long. I ended up needing a D&C for retained tissue. Hopefully yours stops soon.
    Wow, your MIL sounds so.... annoying. I would be furious with her too. I vote for eloping and then having a reception for family and friends afterwards. It is about you and your DH, not about everyone else.
  • Hi ladies!  I've been around the board recently but new to posting on this check in.  On CD 9 of my first cycle post m/c and we will be trying again after this cycle.  So hopefully that means August as long as my cycles go back to how they were before.  Which right now I am scared to death that they will change in some negative way.  I was regular and ovulating up until my m/c but am scared of some change especially because of my age.
    The rest of my story is in my sig and for more about me you can see my blog linked below.
    What is something positive from this past week?
    Started testing w/OPKs so I could determine if I ovulate this cycle - and while it's too early for a positive result, I am seeing faint lines there which is nice I guess.  Who knows - I'm grasping at anything hopeful at this point while waiting!
    Also been getting back to exercising again!  Woot!
    What is the hardest part of your cycle while TTA? Seeing AF, knowing you're ovulating, 2ww (or lack there of), etc.
    Hardest part right now is just not knowing if everything will go back to normal or not.  Just not knowing what my body will do this first cycle post m/c.
    Does your family interfere and ask questions about your TTC/TTA status?
    Well I have a weird problem a little I guess.  My immediate family is pretty much non existent as far as most things go.  I am very close with my aunt and I have several good friends that are like family (one in particular).  But my technical immediate family = mom passed in 2008 and I miss every day; dad 84 and really just difficult to talk to about a lot of things (most things) going on, more time spent worrying about him - and brother and brothers family who I basically don't talk to (not that there's any big family drama but my brother has pretty much ignored me our whole lives - very hurtful).  BUT there's my husband's family.  Who I am *immersed* in - there are MANY and they all live very, very close by.  My MIL tries not to ask questions I think - I think she tries to let me be as private as I want, but I know it's difficult for her.  So she does ask me things on occasion.
    Completely not my in laws fault, but I just think having no family of my own I have a lot of issues with dealing with my husband's family.  Who are all very sweet, but since their not my family I have this almost uncontrollable resentment that is hard to battle some times.  I feel bad - they are so sweet and want to "be there for me" but that just seems to make it worse sometimes.  Okay that all belongs in a blog!  Sorry!
    Biggest frustration/vent of the week (doesn't have to be TTA related)?
    See above lol - apparently it's that!  I've already sucked up too much space writing about all that!  Lol!
  • Hi Ladies,
    I just posted an intro (Introduction, after a careful pause), and thought I'd get started here. Thanks for posting this check-in. I think it will be really helpful while we're waiting!
    What is something positive from this past week?
    It has been kind of rough. I suppose the positive is that my DH is really trying to be compassionate and show his support for me, even though I feel like we are somewhat disconnected.
    What is the hardest part of your cycle while TTA? Seeing AF, knowing you're ovulating, 2ww (or lack there of), etc.
    Since today is the first day I haven't spotted since my m/c, the hardest part is knowing that it will probably take FOREVER for AF to get here. And not knowing what the hell this is all going to do to my already nutso cycles.
    Does your family interfere and ask questions about your TTC/TTA status?
    No. Thank the Lord. Although we will be going to see the IL (live 12 hours away) in a few weekends and I am not looking forward to the questions/conversations that will happen then.
    Biggest frustration/vent of the week (doesn't have to be TTA related)?
    Work. I am tired of pretending nothing is wrong and that I'm all happy and fine. (just started a new job when I got pregnant and hadn't told anyone yet...haven't spilled the beans about my m/c either) I just pretend I'm great everyday and then explode when I get home. It is really exhausting.
    QOTD: How old were you when you got married? If you're not married, how old do you think you'll be?
    I was 23, DH was 31.
  • What is something positive from this past week? I started out at 242 and today weighed 230.8.
    What is the hardest part of your cycle while TTA? Ummm sometimes just thinking I am not getting any closer hurts but for the most part I am happy right now.
    Does your family interfere and ask questions about your TTC/TTA status? We are open with our family and they know where we are at in our journey.
    Biggest frustration/vent of the week (doesn't have to be TTA related)? Kaplan University is killing my mood for reals.
  • Hello ladies!
     Something positive---  All the boxes in my new classroom are now unpacked!  I also decided to paint since I didn't like the color someone had painted before me.  I spent all day doing that and have just a little bit to finish up on Sunday.
    Hardest part-  I either had a sucky LH surge or I didn't O yet.  I'm not temping so shame on me, but oh well.  I'm just counting down until AF so I can start my BC for the remainder of my TTA time.
    **My MIL asked me what our TTC plans are and I told her about my REs recommendation for IVF.  When I explained to her what it is she didn't say much other than to pray on the matter.  I have a tiny feeling she does not approve.
    **Frustration/vent-- not knowing if I O'd... everything else has been going well.
    QOTD:  I got married at 26 y/o
    Hi ladies!  I've been around the board recently but new to posting on this check in.  On CD 9 of my first cycle post m/c and we will be trying again after this cycle.  So hopefully that means August as long as my cycles go back to how they were before.  Which right now I am scared to death that they will change in some negative way.  I was regular and ovulating up until my m/c but am scared of some change especially because of my age.
    The rest of my story is in my sig and for more about me you can see my blog linked below.
    What is something positive from this past week?
    Started testing w/OPKs so I could determine if I ovulate this cycle - and while it's too early for a positive result, I am seeing faint lines there which is nice I guess.  Who knows - I'm grasping at anything hopeful at this point while waiting!
    Also been getting back to exercising again!  Woot!
    What is the hardest part of your cycle while TTA? Seeing AF, knowing you're ovulating, 2ww (or lack there of), etc.
    Hardest part right now is just not knowing if everything will go back to normal or not.  Just not knowing what my body will do this first cycle post m/c.
    Does your family interfere and ask questions about your TTC/TTA status?
    Well I have a weird problem a little I guess.  My immediate family is pretty much non existent as far as most things go.  I am very close with my aunt and I have several good friends that are like family (one in particular).  But my technical immediate family = mom passed in 2008 and I miss every day; dad 84 and really just difficult to talk to about a lot of things (most things) going on, more time spent worrying about him - and brother and brothers family who I basically don't talk to (not that there's any big family drama but my brother has pretty much ignored me our whole lives - very hurtful).  BUT there's my husband's family.  Who I am *immersed* in - there are MANY and they all live very, very close by.  My MIL tries not to ask questions I think - I think she tries to let me be as private as I want, but I know it's difficult for her.  So she does ask me things on occasion.
    Completely not my in laws fault, but I just think having no family of my own I have a lot of issues with dealing with my husband's family.  Who are all very sweet, but since their not my family I have this almost uncontrollable resentment that is hard to battle some times.  I feel bad - they are so sweet and want to "be there for me" but that just seems to make it worse sometimes.  Okay that all belongs in a blog!  Sorry!
    Biggest frustration/vent of the week (doesn't have to be TTA related)?
    See above lol - apparently it's that!  I've already sucked up too much space writing about all that!  Lol!
    QOTD: How old were you when you got married? If you're not married, how old do you think you'll be?
    34
    Welcome to the check-in! Hopefully your cycles stay regular and you are back to TTC in no time. Waiting for that first AF is brutal, hopefully she shows up soon.
    I can imagine that it would be hard to be immersed in DH's family all the time, especially if you're not used to having a ton of family around. Hopefully it gets better and they don't interfere too much.
    Hi Ladies,
    I just posted an intro (Introduction, after a careful pause), and thought I'd get started here. Thanks for posting this check-in. I think it will be really helpful while we're waiting!
    What is something positive from this past week?
    It has been kind of rough. I suppose the positive is that my DH is really trying to be compassionate and show his support for me, even though I feel like we are somewhat disconnected.
    What is the hardest part of your cycle while TTA? Seeing AF, knowing you're ovulating, 2ww (or lack there of), etc.
    Since today is the first day I haven't spotted since my m/c, the hardest part is knowing that it will probably take FOREVER for AF to get here. And not knowing what the hell this is all going to do to my already nutso cycles.
    Does your family interfere and ask questions about your TTC/TTA status?
    No. Thank the Lord. Although we will be going to see the IL (live 12 hours away) in a few weekends and I am not looking forward to the questions/conversations that will happen then.
    Biggest frustration/vent of the week (doesn't have to be TTA related)?
    Work. I am tired of pretending nothing is wrong and that I'm all happy and fine. (just started a new job when I got pregnant and hadn't told anyone yet...haven't spilled the beans about my m/c either) I just pretend I'm great everyday and then explode when I get home. It is really exhausting.
    QOTD: How old were you when you got married? If you're not married, how old do you think you'll be?
    I was 23, DH was 31.
    I'm glad that you are joining us. Smile Hopefully your cycle goes back to relatively normalcy soon and you don't have to wait too too long for AF to show again. Hooray for no spotting today though!
    I can't imagine how stressful and exhausting it would be to pretend you're fine all day at work. My work knew both times and I think it helped that I didn't need to be happy all the time. Sending you ((hugs)), that must be tough.
    What is something positive from this past week? I started out at 242 and today weighed 230.8.
    What is the hardest part of your cycle while TTA? Ummm sometimes just thinking I am not getting any closer hurts but for the most part I am happy right now.
    Does your family interfere and ask questions about your TTC/TTA status? We are open with our family and they know where we are at in our journey.
    Biggest frustration/vent of the week (doesn't have to be TTA related)? Kaplan University is killing my mood for reals.
    You are amazing! Good job an that weight loss, that's impressive.
    You sound like such a cool teacher. What colour did you paint your classroom?
    Hopefully AF comes soon and you can get back on BC. I so wish this wasn't your reality and that there was something I could do about it. In the meantime though, I will enjoy your company.
    I'm sorry that your MIL doesn't seem to approve of IVF. But really, it's not up to her.
  • What is something positive from this past week?
    Yeah...that would be nothing.  I even asked my dh and he couldn't come up with anything...I'm still breathing.  That's a good thing, right?
    What is the hardest part of your cycle while TTA? Seeing AF, knowing you're ovulating, 2ww (or lack there of), etc.
    I am still trying to figure out whats going on with my cycle.  It's a week after my d&c.  I took a pg test and still got hcg in me.  As for my temps, they aren't as high as they were but they are still higher so I am pretty sure there's progesterone in me too.  They all need to figure it out quickly and get back to normal quickly.
    Does your family interfere and ask questions about your TTC/TTA status?
    Right now our family keeps asking if we are going to see a specialist.  We haven't gotten the chromosome results back!
    Biggest frustration/vent of the week (doesn't have to be TTA related)?
    Will I ever be able to carry a pregnancy to term?  My friends wife is pg, just told me and she's 15 weeks along!  He doesn't even want kids!
    QOTD: How old were you when you got married? If you're not married, how old do you think you'll be?
    I was 28 y/o when I got married.  We are coming up on our 1 year anniversary in August!
      What is something positive from this past week?
    My start to work is closer and a friend from TX is here visiting, he's like a brother to me and my actual brother.
    What is the hardest part of your cycle while TTA? Seeing AF, knowing you're ovulating, 2ww (or lack there of), etc.
    I hate AF, and the fact that sexy time is at a stand still until I get my pills. (Tried patch it made my body feel numb)
    Does your family interfere and ask questions about your TTC/TTA status?
    I know they want us to have another baby but they don't push the subject.
    Happy Anniversary ahead of time.
  • Kinda late with this, sorry!
    What is something positive from this past week?  I signed up for the Twin Cities 10 mile lottery for October.  Might extend our TTA plan, but not by much.  I'll know tomorrow if I'm in and looking forward to focus on something positive!
    What is the hardest part of your cycle while TTA? Seeing AF, knowing you're ovulating, 2ww (or lack there of), etc.  Still waiting for AF after MC #2.  I'm on CD 34.  Pretty sure I know when I ovulated from temping so hopefully she'll show on Wed.
    Does your family interfere and ask questions about your TTC/TTA status?  My side of the family is pretty much pretending nothing is wrong and that I'm not going through one of the hardest things every in my life.  Really disappointed with this.  I normally have a really strong relationship with my familiy.  In laws have been good about asking how we are and what's going.
    Biggest frustration/vent of the week (doesn't have to be TTA related)? My mom decided to tell me so and so posted on FB that she was pregnant.  I didn't need her to tell me this because, one, I already knew she was pregnant and 2, I was on my way home from an IRL pregnancy loss support group.  Great timing, Mom.
    QOTD: How old were you when you got married? If you're not married, how old do you think you'll be?  I was 26.  We were engaged almost twice as long as the length of time we dated.  (1 year vs. 2 years)
    Hope you're all having a good weekend!
    Watching myself (maybe) ovulate but not doing anything about it. It's like throwing away an unscratched lottery ticket -- I will never know what the outcome of that little egg could have been!
    A co worker asked why we wouldn't wait longer than we are currently planning.  I wish I would have had this analogy!
