for the last two days, i've had this pain where if i move my eye too far (like looking far in the periphery), it hurts. only in the right eye. it almost feels like pressure build-up; if i press gently on the eye i get the same pain.
has anyone experienced this? i have no idea if this is yet another pregnancy symptom or entirely unrelated. maybe a new manifestation of allergies? a cold coming on?
can't find much online that isn't sensationalized (google says it's probably glaucoma, or failing that, i'm probably about to have an aneurysm! so dumb), so i thought i'd see if you ladies had experienced anything like this.
(and yes, if it keeps up, i'll call my doc or get in with an eye doc)

Re: anyone with eye pain? (possibly NBR?)
I can't say that I have had any eye pain like you are describing, but one of my only pregnancy problems have been with my eyes. My vision is blurry sometimes and my eyes get tired and feel sore from that. Nothing that some rest and a hot or cold pack won't fix.
I know your eyes change shape during pregnancy which is what I attribute my eye problems to and they are supposed to go back to normal after delivery. I can't be sure if yours is the same thing or not, but that is my experience with it.
No advice really, so I'm not really helpful.
I haven't had that... but I cannot see. Hormones are messing with my eyesight and, even with my glasses on, I feel like I'm not seeing well. Of course, my doctor says that I shouldn't go for a new prescription until after pregnancy/after breastfeeding and I can't see.
not trying to alarm you, but get to your MD right away then get referred to an OPTHAMOLOGIST, this happened to me after my m/c and it ended up being MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS. PG keeps it at bay because of the hormones but please please please call your MD right now and get checked and get referred. If it does need to be treated with steriods its safer now to be treated then after giving birth especially if you are going to bf.
please do no wait, call now!!!!!!!!!!!
I would echo the suggestion to call an ophthalmologist, just to make sure you don't have pregnancy-induced glaucoma. Most likely, it's nothing, but your eyes are very affected by pregnancy as a lot of PPs said.
Usually, vision quality is most affected, but people can have bigger complications. It can't hurt to have it checked.
