Also? Sadsies. I let this get over 30 posts without replying. . . ON A THREAD ABOUT PIE. I have an excuse, though. I think I broke my thumb. Probably posting here.
Next time we`ll page you!
And we`ll hoard the pecan pie. And the whipped stuff (dreadloc, I`ll hang on to it for you, whip cream is deadly).
LOL
You're right.
And you have no excuse for not being here yet. I'm disappointed.
I'll take almost any pie, except maybe flapper. Did himpolish get pied yet?
I totally misread this as "flipper" (probably because its 2:30am and I'm nursing). Flipper pie being a gross meat pie made from seal flippers. Then I saw you were from Alberta and figured you must be a displaced Newfie to be talking about flipper pie. Then I realized that I'm just illiterate. Lol.

Newfie!! Take that back!!
Naw, that`s my former next door neighbor who does crazy sh!t all the time. I would expect flipper pie off him. Rick Mercer needs to do a story about that.
I eat cheesecake and most fruit pies. Pudding pies are meh.

cobbler/crisps>cake> pie >cheesecake is how mine goes pretty much always and if it's a flavored cheesecake other than pumpkin then it can DIAF.
Pie wise - I hate apple. Love: peanut butter, lemon meriange, banana creme, cherry, pumpkin, pecan, sweet potato and blueberry. Everything else is generally forgetable although gooseberry with icecream is fun. Oh and the reason pie gets a bad rap is 90% of people/stores suck at both at making a good pie crust and appropriate filling to crust ratios. A pie from someone who knows what the F they are doing and how to properly work and cook the dough is awesome, but most people making pie are not good at it.
Cobbler pretty much always wins though because far to often people F up cakes and pies (too dry, nasty frosting/too much nasty frosting, too much/little crust, crappy crust, burnt); Where as if you screw up a cobbler I'm pretty sure you have to be a complete moron since they are idiot proof generally.
Now I'm gonna have to buy an apple pie and vanilla ice cream after my OB appt today. At least the pie will happen after I get weighed. Thanks a lot, bitches.
Re: A Ribbon About Pie (brought to you by Hasbro)
I really need to.
Mmmmmm
Um, yeah. Come pop your cherry on the top of the Chocolate Silk pie. I make mine from scratch dude. Heaven in a pan!
We had red velvet cake for SIL's bridal shower. It was sadly dry and stale-ish. But the frosting was still wonderful.
Why are you teasing me? I want heaven in a pan. You guys are giving me pie balls?(what's the blue balls equivalent in pie world?)

'the fcuk is with all the pie haters?
Freaks, all of you.
While eating butternut ravioli tonight, I realized that butternut squash could quite possibly make a fabulous pie.
::pops finger in pan, sucks chocolate off her finger:: mmm, that`s good stuff.
Your mission is, if you choose to accept it, is to find your local equivalent of the heavenly pie, and devour a slice.
And, pie balls. Awesome!

Ew. That sounds gross. MIL makes fabulous pecan pie. She makes me one for my birthday every year. I love all pies except coconut creme.
I'm the opposite. Pie every time.
