I dislike both pie and cheesecake, but think ice cream and frosting is the most genius combo ever. I eat ice cream ON my birthday cake, sometimes with chocolate sauce.
I'll take almost any pie, except maybe flapper. Did himpolish get pied yet?
What is flapper?
Wikipedia:
Flapper pie is a custard pie topped with meringue. The Graham crackercream pie dates back to the 19th century but entered Western Canadian pop culture in the 20th century as flapper pie.
The pie is a staple of the Canadian prairie culture.
Okay - I didn't realize it was from my part of the country. I don't like the graham cracker crumbs, and some versions have shredded coconut in it. I like coconut, but get it out of my custard.

Nasty. It sounds too mushy.

Not a big pie fan myself. Apple is alright with lots of butter laden cinnamon crust on top. It has to be hot and it must have a fresh scoop of vanilla ice cream just starting to melt.
However, at the end of the bowl the filling is left and the crust and ice cream are gone.

It kind of is. I like some custard pies, but not this one. Ick. I can't wait to make a deep dish apple pie, I usually do that in the fall with apples from the upick.
That being said my Aunt owns a cheesecake baker in NY and I do taste test her flavors occasionally. She knows I'm picky so if I can tolerate it, it must be good.

What is flapper?
<----Wondering the same thing.
Sadly, the answer is no.

Cheesecake is ick. Unless it's the plain kind with strawberries, then, ok.
Then we need a pie intervention.

I hated cheesecake before baby, now I love it.
Apple pie a la mode is the fuckingbomb.com
I also like key lime pie, cookie dough pie, and peanut butter pie.
Pumpkin pie is gross.
Whipped cream on pie is gross.
Warm fruit pie/cobbler/crisp with ice cream is bomb-ness. Especially if it is soft serve, Like at a buffet.
I like all forms of cake with the exception of carrot/spice cake.

But cake still trumps pie. Homemade cake. Box mix doesn't not count!
Cake> pie> cheesecake
Shoo fly??
Cobbler crisps are classified as "pie"?
No way. Pie faker. It teases you, but there's no flaky crust.
It's basically a molasses pie. Big in Pennsylvania, especially Amish country.
I don't like cheese cakes.
That being said my Aunt owns a cheesecake baker in NY and I do taste test her flavors occasionally. She knows I'm picky so if I can tolerate it, it must be good.

Ewwww. I only like molasses cookies, prefered with ginger.
Mmm cheesecake sounds good right now.
Mmm so does chocolate mousse. I love chocolate mousse.
Fact.
Ok - 'cause I never met a cobbler I didn't like.
They make a pie with that. You should try it. It`s sooooo good!
mmm, cake with thick creamy icing.
I hate whipped icing. Hate.
They all generally taste similar to me. Probably the whole warm fruit part.
OMG
They make chocolate mousse in pie form?? I would have lost my pie virginity a long time ago if I knew that.
I have a feeling that I've been living under a rock. A dessert rock.
Also, I love most pies, just not pecan pie. I seriously love pumpkin pie and cherry. Also pumpkin cheesecake!
I am an equal opportunity dessert enjoyer!
It's a PIE-TERVENTION to lose PIE-GINITY.
Come on people.
