November 2011 Moms

Favorite age so far?

While I want my baby to grow up (obviously!) I'm also LOVING the age she is at right now. She is so easy/fun/huggable, I just wish I could freeze time. I'm so happy about this, because the newborn stage was really really hard on me.

So far, I'd say that 6-8 months is my fave age so far. What about you?

(Also, BTDT Moms, does it just keep getting more fun??)

(Andplusalso, I'll retreat back into semi-lurker status now and stop being a PW!)

Re: Favorite age so far?

  • I have really enjoyed 7/8 months...I don't get so many cuddles because my little guy is busy, busy, busy.  I love that his little (or not so little) personality is emerging more and more and I love watching him catch on to new things.  He's such a sweetheart and finds everything to be hysterical.

  • I also love this age, 8-9 months. Our DD is also a mush, & she is doing so many adorable things... but she isn't quite moving yet, which is good.

I have BTDT, so I can say that it does continue to be fun as they grow, but each stage represents unique challenges in parenting. I just find it so amazing to watch them as they discover new things around them and how the world works. With my DS I couldn't wait for him to crawl, walk, talk, etc. This time around I really want to enjoy each stage as DD is in it.

When she hugs me I just melt :)

  • I think 3-4 months. It's when she first started jabbering and playing and figuring things out.

  • I think this is a really fun age since DD is crawling and cruising. It will get even more fun when they start to walk. I also think that around 2 years is really fun when they are starting to talk in sentences. They are not only fun ages, but it also makes things a lot easier.

  • I am thinking 4-5 months is my favorite so far. They aren't mobile yet, they still want to be snuggled and they are laughing and smiling at you consistently. I really do love all ages though. If NB's slept through the night that might be my favorite, haha.

  • Right now, for sure.  We *finally* seem to be out of the colicky stage and his stomach issues seem to have gone away.  He is so much fun now, I am so amazed at the new skills he is learning every day.

  • I loved 3-6mo. DS is trying so hard to get away now that holding him (which he wants me to do often) hurts because he's always turning around. That and his teeth on my poor nips is just a disaster!

  • 4 to 5 months. Sleeping through the night. No teeth. Lots of naps. Starting to really get her personality.

Now is cute too but teeth, sleeping difficulties and a strong willed and mobile baby make things difficult.

  • By far now. He's mobile and independent but sooo fun!! I didn't enjoy 5-6 months just because I had to sit on the floor constantly with him in order to play. I feel like I can be a human and sit on the couch now while he cruises around the room.

Also, I love how easy he is to take out now. His naps are very scheduled so you don't have to worry about that. Plus my diaper bag isn't full of supplies as much (just toys).

I can't wait to have another baby but I know it's going to be so hard going right back to te baby stage.

  • I would say 5-6 weeks.  She was starting to sttn, she was small enough for me to carry her in the moby, she fell asleep easily on my chest and was so snuggly and cuddly.  I really, really miss the newborn stage.  But now is my 2nd favorite because of how interactive and fun she is.

  • I LOVE newborns!  They were so soft and cuddly.  I also really enjoy 7-9 months and 15-18 months.  DD1 is becoming a ball of tantrums, hitting, kicking and biting...2 is not so fun right now.

  • 6-8 months is great, but yep, it keeps getting better! With each month they discover new things and become even more interactive! Walking is so neat, but talking is for sure the best! The conversations I have with my 3 and a half year old are unbelievably funny and entertaining!

    Ooo... hard question!

I would say NB and right now. I love the snuggly newborn stage and she was a pretty good sleeper from the start. Now I love that her awake times have lengthened now and she has put herself on a nap schedule so it has been easier to plan things. It is fun watching her interact with us and other babies now too.

2 months was the hardest for me because she became sensitive to sounds and didn't want to nap ever even though she was majorly overtired.

  • I absolutely loved the NB stage. Squishy, itty bitty babies make my ovaries flutter :)

But I am loving 7 months since he is learning so much. Crawling, sitting, standing, cruising...so much fun! I also love shopping with him now. He is super interested in toys & items in the stores, its really cute!

  • Loved 4-5 months. I saw so many changes in the short amount of time that I was pretty amazed.also liked how ds was more aware but stayed in one place. Now it's impossible to get things done. Love my little man but he definitely requires 24-7 attention more so than ever

  • I loved DD as a newborn and I miss that stage a lot, she was just so tiny. Also, I am loving this stage too, though the mobility comes with new challenges and fears, her personality is just growing and growing and it's interesting to watch her try new things and explore her world.

Also MsCaddyshack, you don't have to lurk :(  Cooome baaaaaaaaack
