Here's our story:
my husband had 1 s/a...and came back with 0 percent normal morphology, however we've had 1 chemical pg and 1 miscarriage at about 9 weeks......what do you guys thinik should we spend the over 400 dollars to send him to specialist (which we don't have right now) or should we keep trying just focusing on me....especially since we HAVE been able to concieve 2x?
What do you ladies think....i mean we have been able to get pg..maybe they're just to tough on the grading? Has anyone here been able to concieve with 0% morphology?
Re: anyone have success with 0 percent morphollogy? and tx did you do?
We were told IVF with ICSI was our only shot. But I wanted to do IUIs before hand and we had a chemical pgcy on IUI#2. I was told the early loss was more likely an egg quality problem and not the sperm.
I don't know our exact s/a#s but they were bad.
But two pgcy's without intervention shows the sperm is doing something...
Good luck.
I am sorry for your losses.
IVF #1 1/10-transfered 2 blasts- DS born 10/2010
March 2015- Chemical pg
1/25/16- BFP Beta1 12dpo = 17, Beta 2 14 dpo = 28.. resulted in one beautiful boy born 9/21/16

Our SAs left our morph in the air - meaning they didn't have enough sperm to check out their morph.....we had low counts across the board. They couldn't tell what it was because there was so little to work with if that makes sense.
our only option was IVF/ICSI, but we did get pg on our own after our 2nd tri loss from our first IVF. I think his count might have improved and therefore maybe his morph was ok, not sure....
good luck! sounds like you got pg onyour own a few times, so that is a positive sign. Also redo SAs.....sickness can affect the results....101 or higher two m onths prior, etc.
Morph is very relative. Just a slighly misshapen sperm can make it a miss during the test. Many RE's do not even think that morph plays a role in infertility and often women can get pregnant by a man with bad morph.
For us, DH had very low morph (among other things). We were told that we needed IVF for sure. However, IUI #2 worked and we have a beautiful baby boy now. We were lucky? Was the SA wrong? Or was DH's bad morph really not a problem? We'll never know.
Since you've gotten pg twice already, I'd look into other avenues. Perhaps there is a problem with you or else you've had really bad luck.
DH had 0% morphology. He went ahead with seeing a urologist that specializes in male infertility. He was diagnosed with a varicocele, had corrective surgery and we conceived with TI. Morphology didn't get measured in the SA after his surgery so not sure if it improved.
FWIW - he had the chromosome testing done and it came back normal...so low morphology doesn't necesarily mean there's a chromosome problem.
Like PP said, I too think that m/c can be caused due to chromosome issues (like, the embryo didn't have the right chromosomes to grow into a full person), which could be due to a sperm issue...but again, not sure that it necessarily relates to 0 morph. Also, I don't know, but I would doubt ALL his sperm would have a chromosome problem, so I'd keep trying like you are since you know you can get PG.
Good luck!
