I have a friend whose husband spanks her if she is "naughty" and not in a kinky way. He does it as punishment. Like if she spends too much money on clothes, or cuts/dyes her hair without asking, things like that. He just does it with his hand, he does the whole bending her over his knee thing. Not in front of anyone, but she has told us about it. I always thought it was really weird, but was wondering if maybe it's more common then I think?

Oh, sweetie. My late husband Earl used to do that to me. Not so much in our later years, but when we were younger. I secretly liked it. I would spend extra money on the expensive orange juice when I went out for groceries and I knew when I got home that he would place me over his knees while he sat in the recliner.

I'm not really sure how to answer that, she doesn't like getting spanked, but she accepts that it is a consequence in her marriage. He doesn't leave marks so I don't know that it constitutes abuse?

If its true domestic discipline its not against her will (she agrees to it) but she's not supposed to enjoy it.

Statement: I find that crap disturbing and weird. I only know about it because I like to be informed on stuff before I pass judgement.

I'm pretty sure, I mean they have a healthy sex life and it does involve some kinky spanking and such, but this is completely separate. Of course you never know I guess.

If the wife is getting off on it, it's not "discipline."

The woman cannot spank,as he (the man) is the head of the household and gets to make those decisions. It's like a punishment for being naughty, and not in a sexual way. Somewhere I read that you really have to do it until she cries because that's her "release". It's so creepy...it makes me want to vomit to think that hitting someone is showing them love.

No, I don't get spanked.
I get my hair colored every 4 weeks. I also spend too much at Target and the like. I'd be spanked a lot if spanking was the norm in our household.
Talk to DH, perhaps he would like to start this. Sounds like a win for him.

I can barely get my husband to spank me in the bedroom, let alone any other time lol.
