I love, love, love this name but I've noticed that a lot of people here pronounce it as "limb".

 

I'll still use it if we have a boy, but would that make you hesitate to use the name?

    Haha, really? I imagine it looks pretty foreign to some people.

    Correct them, though--they're wrong and they could stand to learn. The name isn't at fault.

    I've never heard it mispronounced before so I think you're fine. I like the name, and I think it's also a very cute nn for William.

    Hmmm...I wonder if that's a regional accent issue. I haven't heard it mispronounced where we live. It's also not very common in this area. I would certainly correct someone.

    I believe it is an accent issue.

     

    Also, I hate the name William, so the name will just be Liam.

    I'm not fond of William either. I think Liam stands on it's own just fine.
