I stepped on a scale for the first time this morning since giving birth 5 weeks ago. It wasn't pretty. I'd been losing weight before I got pregnant and I really need to get back on track. I was using the My Fitness Pal app on the iphone and had lost 35 lbs using it. Hopefully I can get back into the swing of things.
What is everyone else doing to reach their weight loss goals?
Re: Well ladies I finally did it.
I did that last night for the first time too! It did not go as well as I'd hoped. Everyone keeps telling me that I look great, but I still have 12 pounds to go. I'm hoping some of that weight is in my new boobs.
As far as losing weight, nothing drastic...lots of long walks with LO, eating right, etc etc. I don't really have time to join a gym and dedicate myself to losing weight- if I have a spare half hour I'd rather sit down with a book, to be honest. I'm hoping a good diet and daily walks will be all I need for now, and maybe once LO is sleeping longer at night I'll feel more up to working out.

I need to stop weighing myself, it's just making me depressed and frustrated. I've lost 15 lbs and have 17 to go to get to pre-pg weight, but the scale hasn't budged in 2 weeks. I lost the weight a lot faster with very little effort after my first pregnancy, so it sucks to be struggling this time.
I have been going for walks w/ the baby, but it's been so hot here I have to do them first thing in the morning or I can't go (it has been over 100 degrees almost every afternoon). I need to start doing some dvd workouts, like, yesterday. I really wanted to lose all the weight by the time I go back to work in a month, but I don't see that happening at this point
I got on the scale at 2 weeks postpartum. I was only 6.5 lbs from my prepregnancy weight. I've been trying to sneak in a little bit of cardio and soem strength training while LO naps, but for some reason it's like she can sense it and always wakes up.
My biggest problem isn't the weight, but the muscle tone. I've only lost 2.5 lbs since in the last two weeks, but after doing some core excercising I actually fit into real pants. They were two sizes larger than my "normal" pants and I had a muffin top, but I could button them so I was happy. If I could just get the squishy middle bits to tighten up, I think I'd actually be in pretty good shape. Oh well. More crunches.
I'm 10lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight, but I'm no where near getting into my pre-pregnancy pants. There's still way too much extra skin in the middle.
I've been taking long walks with the kids in the stroller. Getting up hills with a double stroller is definitely a work out.
Now, I need to cut it out with the sweets. I'm still losing weight, so I feel like I have an excuse to be bad, but I know that won't last.
I need to lose about 50 lbs. Not baby weight but just weight I had from before I got pregnant. My first step has been cutting out all pop which I just started a couple days ago. I've done this a few times before so I hope I can stick with it this time.
I really need to start decreasing my serving sizes. I know that I eat too much in a sitting. My problem is also that I eat out of boredom. Like right now I really want to go get another plate of food but I know it's just because I'm bored and not necessarily hungry.
Next step will be starting exercise. My problem is finding time with 2 kiddos!
