The CA State Fair started yesterday, and I am stoked. Because I am going to totally use being pregnant as an excuse to eat horrible fried food and cotton candy.
I Love the fair Even if it does mess up my commute We go every year. Are you in Sacramento?
I am! (Midtown/Downtown area) Are you??
I live in West Sac and work in Arden Arcade
What a small world!! I think there's a way to Private Message? (I'm pretty new to this board thing) Let me know if you want to ever meet up for coffee or lunch or something! Or maybe a yoga class? I'm looking for a good prenatal yoga place too if you know of any?!. Crazy that in this huge cyber world we are so close!
I have at least one caffeinated beverage every single day and I don't feel the least bit bad about it. I think all of the obsessing about these things is really boring actually. Some people act like some caffeine is going to give their kid a third arm or something.
THIS - love you for posting this.

I didn't think this was flameable until I started mentioning it to some family and friends, but I don't plan on buying anything for this baby (except things like a car seat) until after the baby is born and home. I'm not registering, I don't want a shower, and I am not setting up the nursery. I love this baby so very much, but I can't even handle the thought of having to pack up this baby's things like we did with Robby's stuff.

Before pregnancy I thought registering would be so fun.
Now, the thought completely overwhelms me. I thought buying a copy of baby bargains would be helpful, but it has only made me more overwhelmed.
Yep. I've started some on Amazon but as a FTM I realized I have no idea what a baby needs besides the basics. I did find a list on Pinterest though that helped me get an idea of what I at least NEED to register for,
I go to Subway for lunch at least 3 times a week. There aren't many quick places to get food close to where I work and nothing I bring from home ever sounds appetizing once lunch time rolls around. Everytime I go there, the same guy (young man, college age) always makes my sub for me. I always order the same thing and always ask him to microwave the meat which is always fine with.
Probably on like my 12th visit there, he says to me, "the baby likes lunch mean, huh?" I thought it was funny that he noticed at all, but then thought that I should have told him NOT to assume a woman is pregnant. Still, it was amusing. At least he knows my order by heart now!
I was about 2 seconds away from throat punching the moms and their kids at the mall today. Who lets their 7 year olds play so rambunctiously in a play area that they knock over a toddler several times and then not even flinch or say anything when it happens. If I had been wearing my rings I would throat punched them all.

I still haven't purchased a copy of this book yet either, but it's been sitting in my Amazon cart. I get overwhelmed too so we can be overwhelmed together. One thing is for sure though! We'll have it figured out soon enough!

Grrr. This makes me soo angry. I can't stand it when parents don't supervise their kids and have no concern for anyone else's.
As much as I love them, I am not looking forward to my entire in-law side of the family (DH's parents, brother & sis-in-law, their 4 kids under the age of 10, and 2 dogs) coming to visit this weekend. In total that will be 6 adults, 4 children, and 4 dogs under one roof. YIKES YIKES YIKES :-
LOL, my DH's family beach weekend is next week and I am totally doing a happy dance for not having to go this year. My pregnancy hormones would so not be able to take it. GL to you!
Mh has been asking mye to make samosas for weeks now and I keep coming up with excuses not to. We went to the store yesterday and he convinced me to get the ingredients for them but I'm still looking for excuses not to do them. We make a bunch of them any time we make them and it takes forever, but I know once I've put the work into it I'll be glad that we'll have some in the freezer again but I'd much rather just go to an indian restraunt and have some that someone else made.
i had something yesterday that was more of a confession than an unpopular opinion so i was going to wait until today, but i forgot it
oh i remember now...
i'm really disappointed at the amount of likes and comments i got on my announcing picture on facebook the other day....
i'm not usually an aw, but, for this i am! and plus, if you're happy i'm pg, then at least like it bc my nephew and niece are incredibly adorable
I wonder if it's because it's not super eye catching, like a bump profile or an u/s? Not saying that you should do either of those things, theyre just the most in-your-face announcements. And since they're not your kids, it just may not seem like a thing to friends at just a glance?
This happened to my really good friend a few weeks ago when they announced with a short, very abstract video on facebook (they're videographers, so it totally suits them). But the title they put with it wasn't clear either, even I totally over looked the post... 3 days later people finally started noticing the "congrats" in the comments and then they got flooded with likes and such.
I've been intentionally Griping on facebook about how sick and tired I feel today...because a friend of mine is starring in a play 30 minutes away, and it is FAR too hot to drive out there to see it. (and its a play I'm not fond of)
Lame confession that's more random than anything: I'm watching Dawson's Creek for the first time right now. I feel like the last person on the planet who has never seen this show.
haha, i was just reading TTGP board's FFFC, they mentioned Dawson's Creek in it too. :P Someone masterbated to one of the episodes. Hahaha

Awesome!
They probably had their nose buried so deep in their phone that they didnt notice.
I have also been guilty of drinking soda this pregnancy. When I was on vacation with my sister she saw me drink a soda once and I had a tea everyday and she was constantly making comments. According to her she had one snapple iced tea during pregnancy and she couldn't take it because she got so jittery. I have to admit I am so glad I live 8 hours away from her.

What?! That's not flame-able at all. I'm sorry your family & friends don't understand.

I flame the f*cking person who put a cash offer this morning on the house we were so excited to see today at 1:00. We made the appointment at 6:00pm last night. So, right now, I really hate people with too much money.
Lando, the cat picture made me feel a little bit better.
I agree about the name thing. Some of the names on my list are relatively popular and you know what? I don't care. I don't hate others for using it and make it popular, even though I swear I've loved some of these names since I was a little girl!
ugh! we had that happen to us a few months ago. We even offered more than the other person, but the fact that they offered cash got them the house. Not fair. One thing I've learned about house hunting: everything happens for a reason. There must be a better house out there for you. GL!
Thanks! We've been looking for the past couple of months and have seen at least 15 houses. The cash offers are ridic though! Sellers love the cash unfortunately.
I really, really just want to be in a house already or at least have it in the works. I don't want to be working on a nursery the month before I'm due. I'm not totally freaking out yet, but if we don't have something going within the next 2 months max, my inner pregnant b!tch may begin to make an appearance.
Oh I totally understand! I'm kind of feeling the same way. Especially since this house we are thinking about putting an offer in on is a short sale, so it will take even longer to purchase. we hope to be in a house no later than December.
Ohhh..you guys are brave! We've gotten quite a few listings we LOVE and then realize they're short sale. If we didn't have a baby on the way, I'd totally go for it. I just don't want to risk the long wait and then still possibly not get it.
Plus, we'd really like to be out of our home within the next couple of months because it's prime renting time for college students. We want to rent out our house and it will be easier to do within the next couple months than 6 months down the road.

It drives me nuts when people are obviously replying to a specific comment in a thread, but don't quote the author. Sometimes it's like 5 or 6 posts down. Really, I shouldn't care but I find it annoying.

I know that I am being really selfish, but I wish I didn't give my sister all of my maternity clothes and a lot of my baby gear. I didn't quite plan on getting pregnant again 8 months after having DS1. (It took 2 years to get pregnant the first time!) Lending stuff to her is like throwing things in a black hole ... It's never coming back. I don't have a single maternity item, and I have to get a new swing, breast pump, bouncer, etc. I love her, and I am glad that her newborn gets to use these items, but it's all adding up fast.

I am contemplating ways to get out of going to my grandparents in two weeks because i really dont want to tell them. i dont want to tell them, i dont want to tell my inlaws, i dont want to tell ANYONE but my mom, dad, brother, sister, and my niece and nephew! I know what everyone else is going to say and frankly my give a damn is busted they can all go Eat a D*^&! This baby is a wonderful gift and despite waht they all say i am NOT "ruining my life" infact im doing exactally what I want to do with MY life! >:I and Damn it it's not their life to live!
I said, "Oh my, what a marvelous tune" It was the best night, never would forget how we moved. The whole place was dressed to the nines, And we were dancing, dancing Like we're made of starlight Like we're made of starlight. ~TS

I never liked Sprite, but man, now that I'm pregnant I can't get enough! Especially when it's really really carbonated!
