hi ladies,
heading back to work in scottsdale and desperately need to find a nanny that i'm comfortable with. ideally, i'd like to use someone i know personally, but that may not be a possibility. any thoughts/recommendations regarding nanny placement agencies?
Re: nanny service?
We have an amazing nanny, that we will no longer need as of August 2nd. She goes to school, but depending on when you need her services may be available for your child/ren, PM me if interested.
We honestly found our nanny through our daughters former day care. I just didn't feel comfortable posting a care.com add.
We used Care.Com for our first nanny...didn't post a job, just found candidates that met our needs and interviewed from that group.
Had better luck with an agency called A+ Nannies. Hillary runs the company and is really great to work with. At first I just used them for temp coverage but found someone we really like and trust. Rates were better than the folks on care were asking for too!
Good luck to you! Our daughter is now older so we are looking for daycare/school reccomendations if you know of any in NE Scottsdale.
Care.com is an ONLINE agency. They do NOT interview their candidates or have ANY personal relationships with their candidates.
If you want a local agency, there are two very reputable agencies (one that I own) that you can contact: arizona.aplusnanniesinc.com (in 5 states), or acaringnanny.com.
Both agencies have an A+ rating at the BBB and strive to offer the best services possible to their clients and nannies.
Phoenix has over a half dozen stand alone agencies and I would HIGHLY recommend using them instead of an online agency. Think of care.com as a Craigslist.com for nannies. It is not the safest. Although I have heard it work for some, but have heard that it has not worked for way more. Hope that helps!

Also, thanks to the person above recommending me - that was very sweet. I appreciate that!
I have also found this website which can assist in the search for daycares.

Hi everyone! I work for an agency called All About Nannies. All of us are background and drug tested, and first aid and CPR certified and located all over the Valley. When you contact the agency, you let them know what you are looking for in a nanny, how much you will pay, what you need them to do, etc. The woman running the agency will send all us nannies the info and if we have the qualifications you are seeking, we reply and you, the family, will choose from a list of nanny profiles to interview us. All the girls are great and each person has something wondeful to offer. I currently nanny for 3 boys but I found out I'm 10 weeks and will have to take time off come Feb. Best of luck to you all finding your help!
